  1. Sean, I assume it will be 2005. As always we have every 5 year a big meeting. So I can’t imagine why we will not do it this time. But it will be hard to hire the Zandvoort circuit. Last time it costs about 16000 Dutch gilders (8000 euro), of course Nissan helped a lot but probably we have a look at the TT circuit Assen. Less expensive
  2. What I used was a satin black! Do not use mat black, because you will see every thing on it, it’s like a school board. If you visit the Ypres site you will see the differences between the bonnets. http://www.z-point.nl/ypresrally/240z.htm Tony Fall's car has a ‘shiny’ bonnet, very ugly compared with mine.
  3. Dear mister Sean, How very nice to meat to you. I’ve heard a so much good things about you!!ROFLLOL As a fellow European I like to strongly advice you to include a track day because lots of people like to ‘race’ with there Z’s. Ok now for real. How are you doing? Every thing alright deep down in France? I fully support your idea, now I’ve my car ready. I also made a notice in our magazine of September about the dates of your meeting in France and Billing.. I’ll talk to later. I’m working on my lights:stupid:
  4. I updated the Ypres rally page again with new pictures link below
  5. Did it already. One of our members had 6 carbs from a GPX 750 bike on his engine. He wrote in 1999! in our magazine "he had trouble with backfire at 3000rpm.He tried big and smaller needles but at that time nothing worked” end of story. You want me to check this up? your are lucky I saved all pictures from our magazines

  7. I received from the Ypres press officer some nice action pictures, also made a link to the Belgium participant. Miguel Casier. Have fun. Link below
  8. I could not resist sending this picture. It will become a group 4 rally car in Holland....some time. This is also made by an expert in cages. When the guy send s me more pictures / different angles I will let you know.
  9. complete with linkage, headshield and manifold. Did not run for a couple of years, so tell me what to do. Clean the outside perhaps the inside.....with what? can I take every thing apart or is that dangerous for a newby?
  10. I’ll agree to that. In my US imported car was mph speedo as well, I change it into a kph speedo. But its sort of accurate (10kph different) around the 100 /140 kph. I tested with two cars. But above that with high speeds it’s ‘dancing’, in no time I drive 210???? I think I’ve to check the kph speedo, or change it with a 260Z?
  11. So if I got it right you can’t swap a speedo mph 240Z into a kph 240Z. You have to use a kph 260Z against a mph 240Z. But why a 260Z?? Any idea… :stupid:

This group is growing rapidly, the record shows 2039 members!! Lately you see a lot of new members where did they all come from? How you all came aware of the mail list, the website, etc. By friend, internet, garage, dealer or what or whom?
  13. Don’t you dare making jokes about my lamps They are 55 Watt each.
  14. Indeed camouflage How did you get you car upside down?? Great picture, nice ride.
  15. Look for this. I also heard another story: if you use stiffer bars (24mm/more) they can ruin you shell. The connections come lose from the shell?? Falls or through?
  16. 2ManyZs You hit the nail on the top. I replaced my dash because it had cracks in it. In other words I changed over the whole wiring because the other dash was a European one. I will use my ‘snake’ trick again and crawl under the dash. If I find anything I’ll let you all know.
  17. Hi all, My rpm meter lives his own live, at least sometimes. Under normal conditions it will do, but when you go up in the revs or at the highway, it runs to the end and will not come back until you stop for a while. How does it work? Does this sound familiar to anybody?

Mike, Here you find info -in Europe- about Narva and Philips lamps. There are priced in Euro’s, one Euro is about the same value as one US$. http://www.x-tuning.de/Produkte/Kfz-Lampen_PHILIPS/kfz-lampen_philips.html http://www.x-tuning.de/Produkte/Kfz-Lampen_NARVA/kfz-lampen_narva.html If these lamps are not available in your country I’ll be happy to try and get them over here.
  20. You really want to know? In fact it’s quite simple; trains use special wheels with flenses, so you normally can’t get of the road. Traffic control leads you to the destination. Nowadays this all goes by computers in early stages they did it by hand. They are in control of the switches in the whole country; it’s my job to arrive in time and watch the (light)signs. And much more but we are talking here about cars, right? :tapemouth And about woman; do you never heard about the bush woman in Europe?? They live here by the thousands.

  22. You have to make sure the lamps fit between the grille and the hood when this one opens!!! If you go to the Ypres rally pages below this story you will see two examples of hiding your lamps. Tony Fall had no grill anymore and therefore enough room for his lamps. Dominic has a fibre hood and did not have the problems, if had. Because he takes off his hood in one piece.
  23. When you got the vertical ‘depth’ you are able to measure the wideness. For that piece I used a hooked (?) metal again about the same thickness as the rest. I’ve got TR4 rosettes (overrider) to give the bumper its massive looks. But you also have to shape these rosettes. Just now a welder is busy to weld a piece of metal at the rear-end so it will get a depth of at least twice the bumper ‘thicknesses’. Hopefully the pictures say more than my words. Success with the making off……
