  2. he fred, how you doing? I did not get you message until I watched this forum again. Lucky you. I phoned him up, before I read this, and he is going to 'dismantle' the set to have a look at the size. I'll wait for his answer.
  3. I received from the Ypres press officer some nice action pictures, also made a link to the Belgium participant. Miguel Casier. Have fun. Link below
  4. Alan, You could say that. This set is much nicer than what I bought. Unfortunately we can’t look into the future. If you say it’s a 44mm I’m going to wash his ears!! Telling me it’s a big one and let my make a foul out of myself. Suppose I sold this to one of you, brrrr. :stupid: I’ll come back after I spoke with the guy. I’ll let hem measure the set without the manifold. I’m sure he will lower his price when he knows it’s not a 50mm! But only 44?? Thanks for the corrections. Ps. when it’s a 44 I’ll try to swap it with my set
  5. Hi guys, Any racers out there?? Today we had our car club trunk sale. And guess what a member came up with a 50mm triple Mikuni set. He wants to sell the set. What I like to now is; is there some interest in this set? I made four pictures today, I don’t know when the set where used last. He said at least three years ago. I don’t anything about the setting. His fixed price will be $1500
  6. I could not resist sending this picture. It will become a group 4 rally car in Holland....some time. This is also made by an expert in cages. When the guy send s me more pictures / different angles I will let you know.
  7. complete with linkage, headshield and manifold. Did not run for a couple of years, so tell me what to do. Clean the outside perhaps the inside.....with what? can I take every thing apart or is that dangerous for a newby?

  9. I’ll agree to that. In my US imported car was mph speedo as well, I change it into a kph speedo. But its sort of accurate (10kph different) around the 100 /140 kph. I tested with two cars. But above that with high speeds it’s ‘dancing’, in no time I drive 210???? I think I’ve to check the kph speedo, or change it with a 260Z?
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1854940526&sspagename=ADME:B:DS:US:3 Hello and thanks for stopin by.... This auction is for a set of Triple Mikuni Solex 40mm carbs... Sanyo Intake with all linkages. May need rebuild on carbs has been sitting for 10 months.. Car was running good when parked!! fits 240z 260z 280z .... I am selling for a friend so get your questions in early so I can relay the questions to him... Sold as is and sorry I cant give any refunds...
  11. So if I got it right you can’t swap a speedo mph 240Z into a kph 240Z. You have to use a kph 260Z against a mph 240Z. But why a 260Z?? Any idea… :stupid:

  15. Indeed camouflage How did you get you car upside down?? Great picture, nice ride.
  16. Look for this. I also heard another story: if you use stiffer bars (24mm/more) they can ruin you shell. The connections come lose from the shell?? Falls or through?
  17. 2ManyZs You hit the nail on the top. I replaced my dash because it had cracks in it. In other words I changed over the whole wiring because the other dash was a European one. I will use my ‘snake’ trick again and crawl under the dash. If I find anything I’ll let you all know.
  18. Hi all, My rpm meter lives his own live, at least sometimes. Under normal conditions it will do, but when you go up in the revs or at the highway, it runs to the end and will not come back until you stop for a while. How does it work? Does this sound familiar to anybody?

Mike, Here you find info -in Europe- about Narva and Philips lamps. There are priced in Euro’s, one Euro is about the same value as one US$. http://www.x-tuning.de/Produkte/Kfz-Lampen_PHILIPS/kfz-lampen_philips.html http://www.x-tuning.de/Produkte/Kfz-Lampen_NARVA/kfz-lampen_narva.html If these lamps are not available in your country I’ll be happy to try and get them over here.
  21. You really want to know? In fact it’s quite simple; trains use special wheels with flenses, so you normally can’t get of the road. Traffic control leads you to the destination. Nowadays this all goes by computers in early stages they did it by hand. They are in control of the switches in the whole country; it’s my job to arrive in time and watch the (light)signs. And much more but we are talking here about cars, right? :tapemouth And about woman; do you never heard about the bush woman in Europe?? They live here by the thousands.
