  1. I think you do know the reason. The car is not only newer, but was sold new for a lot more, thus it was always "worth" more. Just because it doesn't look as nice doesn't mean it shouldn't be worth as much... or else Rolls-Royces would be as common as Commodores. Alan, I see that yes that is when the Z was introduced so it should be compared with the 911 of the same year, but this was when the Porsche was at the end of its life-cycle (as I'm sure you know). For others, Porsche improved their car majorly in the early 1970s - the 1974 911 is a LOT different to the 1969 911. I just think it's a bit of a wobbly comparison seeing as the two cars weren't both in the market for very long... but yes it is a fairer comparison than to a 1982 911SC Targa!!! As for 911's getting worse looking in the 70s and 80s... have a look at the Z cars.......................... Oh and to be fair, the Targa 911 isn't exactly the best looking one, and nor is that colour...... like Alan said it's not just about static looks. (picking fights) Lachlan
  2. ROFL :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: I blame the French! :tapemouth
  3. That was an awesome video... from where I'm standing anyway
  4. Hey, when I got the kart we had a tow bar :( But yes your friend is definitely gunna be a good thing for you. You should probably be asking him the questions not us.
  5. Got a towbar? A trailer? Those are some things I'd like... Yeh, I have a go-kart, J-class or clubman I forgot... but I only drive it down the road occasionally :stupid: LOL it's very, very fun. But only do it if you're indestructable, like me, hey Rick? :sleepy: Yeah, I guess it does kinda defeat the purpose... Are you near a track? That helps too! Oh and if you get a friend to buy one too, you'll have 10x the fun.
  6. The Zed just looks so TIGHT sitting next to a 911.
  7. YEAH, LOVED IT !! Thanks for sharing mate.
  8. So what's a hardtop? (isn't it a pillarless 2 door car?)
  9. Wanna know what's stupid? The price of that badge from Nissan...
  10. Hi Sorry but I don't really collect articles about the 260! This one might be a bit interesting though... Sports Car World July/September 1982, it has a great article about the 280ZX, which is then followed by the history of "the fast ladies", goes into a bit of detail about each model, but is more interesting than factual about the 260Z... If you keep an eye out on ebay they often pop up
  11. No, I thought they all did...

  18. Oh, well I was resisting having a brag, but since you've gone and started................... 1971 240Z manual for a 17 year old with no prior driving experience, comprehensive cover up to a value of $5000AU (they wouldn't insure for any value over that) was just over $400AU a year, driving any amount of km's. Suncorp Metway I was with :classic:
