  3. Oh geez, Alan, Kats, thankyou so much for sharing your knowledge!! I know it might be a long time before I can really afford to buy THAT book. You weren't kidding when you said it was expensive, Alan! A question about the air filter box... is that just a spare one held in the storage container? Wouldn't it be cool if it was a little esky, to keep that Japanese beer in on long journeys!! Again, thanks for everyone's input. I love it!
  4. Oh.. I didnt know about the early badges. Good little extra bit of information to know! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Youre lucky pal!! I was going to bid on that, but after seeing your username decided against it. Good luck with the restoration!
  6. 2300GT!!! Wow! You learn something new every day. Thanks for your input Kats. I found a picture of the 2300GT... different grille, door mirror, and some kind of scoop underneath the front. Anyone else want to play spot the difference? http://village.infoweb.ne.jp/~2000gt/2000gt/2300gt/2300-13.jpg
  7. To be honest that looks a bit silly! It's really missing the best part of the car IMO... looks a bit French...
  8. Lucky sods... one day I'll see one, one day. Would you say they're similar in size to the 240Z? They look about the same, except lower. I love especially how the windscreen wraps around, and continues down the sides without a body-coloured windscreen pillar getting in the way.

  10. Some of the more open-minded enthusiasts here might like to have a look at this absolutely stunning example of a Toyota 2000GT currently on Yahoo Auctions Japan. http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g15069185 That's a starting price of USD$91,000 and a "Buy-it-now" price of USD$186,000 :stupid:

  12. Heya guys, Just on Ebay Australia came up a Modern Motor magazine from 1974 which contains a couple of pics and little bit of info on the Fairlady Z 2+2 G-Nose prototype which was displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1974. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2460922539&category=32081 It's not got any real information, but some of you might still want a copy... FWIW!

  19. Well, I think its pretty special...
  20. Ya, a 200ZR is a special edition of the 300ZX - difference being tuned suspension and an RB20DET. Pretty fast from what I have heard!!!
  21. For future reference, here's a site outlining how the tail lights of a C210 work. This is exactly the same as the 'GT-R' style tail lights for our C110's. http://www1.linkclub.or.jp/~ackn/any/tail/tail.html (this is probably why the outer globes on my tail lights are dual filament. One for parkers, and one for tail lights. Both sets I have must have been modified so that all four rings light up on parkers - I'm not complaining!)
  22. With a bit of modification, it's in the car! Looks swish I think.
  23. Count me in for that too.... as well as the boot!
