  1. early to mid mustangs were very noisy and always had the noise suppresors near the coil, or some form of one. check almost any ford supply house and you should find some thing to suit your needs very easily. Dave.
  2. SEXZY!!! Or at least thats what my girlfriend says..... Cause I only wash her (the Z) in the sun and of course I have to take my shirt off. Believe it or not, I actually have a body under all this ruff exterier. WISH!! Wish I had this, Wish I had that. Wish she went faster. stopped faster, had less dents, had more money, had more time.. You get the point. Dave.
  3. By the way, it was $36.88 for each pint $9.14 for each spray can made from the pint X 3 =$27.42 plus I still have whats left of the original pint for touch-up So in other words, I'll get an exact match, 3 spray cans and the remainder of the pint for $64.30 + tax. And he can make as much or as little as i need whenever I need it.
  4. Threefittyzee, I dont know about where you live but here in the northwest, Washington, we have a company called WESTCO AUTOBODY SUPPLY. SOME ONE BACKED OVER MY HOOD, and I was almost in tears. I took the Z to Westco and they brought out to the car what was explained to me as a (paint camera). he took several pictures of the paint, got and average of the paint color as it sits ( 20 year old paint job) downloaded it into the computer and the computer spit out the exact mixture to match my already 20 year old paint. He gave me a price quote for a pint (what I asked for) and he'll even put some in 3 spray cans for me to do minor repairs on the Z without it looking like it's ever been touched or repainted. I can have it mixed any time I want whether it be the paint you spray from a can, or the paint for a spray booth. here's what they gave me for when I'm ready to have it mixed.
  5. Hey Beandip, are you coming to my picnic on 6/05/04??? Go to the calender on the home page and go to june 5th,04 read up on it and get back to me. Dave in WA state
  6. Four?? I'm counting twelve (12)
  7. Concrete is EARTH:ie a ground the energy stored in a battery is only 1/8 of an inch from a ground source ie; the earth the average collector stores his/her battery (when outside the car) on the least coductive material available, Usually a good DRY piece of wood. A new plastic battery tray (when stored in the car) and the battery disconnected is almost as good as long as the wheels are still on the vehicle and insulating the car from the ground. Dave.
  8. The car IS 33 years old, new regulators could'nt hurt. You'd probably have to pull the reg's to repair them anyway, why not go new. Just my $.02c Dave
  9. For all those who want to attend, We or I am putting a meet and great picnic together on the 5th of June, 2004. I'm planning on a park or good sized area in or around the city of Everett, Washington. Pot luck picnic where all who attend bring their favorite dish for all to share, bring pop and other assorted beverages. But PLEASE!! NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES of ANY kind. This will be a public area and we don't need anyone getting in trouble or ruining a Beautful bay or your Z. Telephone poles are hard to remove from the side of a Z or your spleen. For a better description, go to the calander or click on ANY event then click on the calander sign in blue writing just above the event, then go the bottom of the calander and goto june, click on the 5th. if you have questions, comments, or wish to discuss any thing about this, my E-mail is wolfin32z@yahoo.com thanks, Dave in Marysville, WA.
  10. there are also three (3) square nuts held in place for the rear license plate light assembly, not sure if it counts but they are there. and my replacement small hose clamps are 1/4" or 7mm? it's to early for me to think this hard:stupid:
  11. well, moneys tight and a little paint goes a long way when it comes to stopping rust. thanks for your input guys. luckily, I've got a lot of Z friends here in the North West, and a couple of them have promissed to hook me up w/ a free hood. now its $4000.00 for body work and paint, SCREW THAT!! I'll do the work my self and pay the right guy to paint it for me. But I'll wait on the body work for now, I don't wanna drive around w/ a bunch of primer spots on her. I need about 4 grand to get her road worthy again but that'll have to wait. Dave in WA. state
  12. I know it's too late but next time buy only nissan factory parts whenever possible. I've saved so much heart ache by spending a little more on the right part, instead wanting to rip my hair out cause I saved some money and got a part that ("should do the trick") and it didnt even come close. I'm sorry for your dellima and wish you the best of luck, and in the words of my mother, "if your gonna pinch you pennies, you'll have to bite your bullets" best of luck, Dave in WA. State.
  13. there is no camera, I know the owners of the club, and they said that a parking lot camera is in the works. But the good news is, A friend of mine says she knows the truck and would recognize the guys that were in it. they made some comments to her as they were getting into the truck, just before they she went in to meet me and my girlfriend in the club. So she is going to fill out a report for me and the local P.D. I will catch the S.O.B.!!! Even if it takes a while, I got nuttin but time when it come to catching the Idiot that hurt my baby. And he will pay, One way or the other........ With a vengful eye, Dave.
  14. Old rubber will Creak until it warms up, Lot less when you use polyurathane bushings. Just my 2cents Dave
  15. Thanks for letting me vent and put my sympathy pictures where all can see. I'll Have her fixed Before the summer sun comes out, Paychecks pending of course. Thanks again guys. Dave in Wahington State.
  16. the rubber flap gets laid over the lip, then the welting gets pressed down on top of it, compressing the rubber over the metal lip, and holding every thing in place. the two ends should meet under the metal kit plate, and a smart thing to do would be to use some contact glue on the ends to keep them from pulling apart. It's just a precaution. and If all else fails, look at another Z. I won't tell If you don't.
  17. The sharp corner of the weather stripping goes into the UPPER corner of the door. and the 18 inch piece goes along the door near the door latch then under the kick plate. make sure you clean the surface of the metal where the weather stripping is going to go, and make sure that the edging that holds the stripping in place, (the U shaped channel edging) is re-squeezed before you put it back on or it might fall off. use heavy duty body molding glue (black) you'll thank me later. Dave.
  18. Ya, I told my girlfriend the same thing, It's just the hood. It could have been a whole hell of alot worse. I can find a hood as easy as finding gum stuck to my shoe. It's just finding the paint to match.
  19. it also dented my radiator, but not enough to hurt it to bad. (no leaks so far)
