  1. Is it possible to order a new bell housing for my 4 speed? Does anyone know of a place that they might carry it? This is really just for cosmetic reasons so that when I put in my engine in the bell housing will look new as well. Thanks

  3. Thanks Guy's for the helpful hints, but I am redoing all the lines with new ones that I ordered form the local auto shop and they are not copper. Personally I think that the copper ones look real tacky and wouldn't even consider them. As for the Line I was referring to before, I decided to eliminate it right at the end of the transmission housing because It wasn't even connected before the restoration and it didn't give me any problems. The new brake lines and clutch lines are a dark green color and has zinc plated connectors. It came out better than I thought. Thanks to all of you and especially to Victor for all the help. Now I'm just finishing up putting everything back together so that I can put the engine back in. Saro Fagerian
  4. Do you have a pic of where it is attached to on the engine?
  5. So now that I have no emission stuff where will the Flow Guide Valve connect to after it is attached to that line? It looks like ill have to leave it mounted but not attached to where ever it is ment to go. I guess I should ask where do the double outlets on the Flow Guide Valve connect to?
  6. Thanks for the quick reply. All of my emission parts have been removed and my question is can I eliminate it or somehow cut it right under the tranny tunnel? The reason why Im saying this is because all my lines are new and thats the only one that is old and looks worn out. So if all my emissions are removed is it possible for me to remove this line as well and cap it? Thanks Saro Fagerian
  7. I am redoing the brakelines on my 240z and came across one line that seems to be for fuel but dont know for sure. Its much thicker than the rest, it comes out of the tranny tunnel and runs on the driverside all the way up towards the ignition coil. ould be for smog but not to sure. Can someone help me with this line? Thanks Saro Fagerian

  9. No prob Andrew. Did you ever find a cap for the fitting on your search for one? I guess now im on the mission to find the proper threaded plug for the housing. I remember when I bought freeze plugs for my block it came with some small threaded caps, maybe those would work. Oh well. GL Saro Fagerian
  10. I have one in perfect condition. This thing looks almost brand new. Its on my 1970 L24 (e31) that is only a straight thru piece. I think 73's came with a "y" shaped one with two outlets. Any way I am going to remove it because I am not running water to my carbs. Reply to this post so we can discuss how I can send it to you. Hope this will put an end to your search. Saro Fagerian

I recently repainted my engine bay and I removed the metal clutch/brake lines that run along the firewall in the bay. Now I need to reshape and put back the proportioning valves and metal lines but don't know where they go and how they are shaped. I was wondering if anyone had a pic of an engine bay with no engine so that I can use as an example for mine. I would really appreciate it. Saro Fagerian
  17. Thanks for the help guys, but I do have the spacers there and it dosent look broken. The spacers narrow out in the center which creates a v like shape and because of that it has a gap. I have never ran these carbs and was wondering if the gaps would cause a leak. Thanks again Saro Fagerian
  18. I was looking under my carbs today and I noticed a gap between the intake manifold spacer and my SU's. Its located right under the each attachment of both carbs where they meet the intake manifold. The gap is between the carb and the spacer when looked at from under the carburtors. Why is there a gap there? Is this normal or is something wrong? I have a picture of it with a red line showing you where the gap is. Sorry picture is kind of blurry. Thanks for the help
  19. Any one selling a hatch for a 240z? The one I have now is very clean except for a rust hole about a 1/4 of an inch big on the edge of the window seal. Other than that its perfect. If any one has a clean one please let me know. Prefer white but dont care Thanks

  22. I was wondering if any body knows where I can get the clutch and brake lines that go to the master cylinders. I need the long hard metal ones that lay against the firewall in the engine bay. I broke mine trying to take them off. Do I need to get them made or does some body make new ones I can go and pick up? Thanks
  23. No prob. Ill pm you if I dont find them. Thanks again.
