Per the diagram it looks like S1 goes to the engine side.
  2. You do not get vacuum.
  3. I would pressure check it first if you can. Those calcium deposits you mentioned might be from a breach in the system.
  4. Pics? Sort of vague on what advice you need

Did you mention in a previous post that the injectors had been cleaned and tested? Pretty sure you’ve seen the volume and spray tester they use when you send them out.

Absolutely no expert but I can’t imagine it would unless your luck is bad and got water in the fuel from the gas station. That’s why I recommended SeaFoam.

    SeaFoam
  8. The later ZX shifter with the wafer bushing worked well for me. As you know each of these cars are different somehow.

Never saw one that didn’t unless it was new

Buy a FSM hard copy off EBay or download the one here on this site and study it from one end to the other. The EFI section is what’s going to be your biggest challenge. Have fun! It’s a journey and well worth it.
  11. Solenoids on the ac system next to the vacuum bottle. Just noticed on your picture the plug wires are marked backwards. #1 is the first plug on the front of the engine. Curious how you came up with that. Firing order is 153624 Counter clock wise.

Careful with those exhaust bolts especially the one on the rear of the engine that mounts the hoist harness plate. You can snap a stud in a heart beat. Soak them thoroughly for a couple of days before attempting to remove the nuts.
  13. Which 5 speed are you going with?
  14. O’Rielys also has a rental tool puller that works extremely well. Take a Quick Look on the depth of the old bushing to give you an idea for the new one. Learned the hard way.🤦‍♂️
  15. One quick note the seal for the trans goes in from the backside of the plate. Rubber/spring facing the flywheel.
  16. Was going to mention the HF lift but I see that you already have one.
  17. Didn’t realize such a big difference between 77&78 with relay locations
  18. The relay at least on my 78 is inside the black box
  19. So you are talking about the relay box on the fender well inside the engine bay correct?

Before you even get started on this project, Either hard copy, Which I totally prefer where you can get a feel of the car. Read that manual over thoroughly and get an idea of what the challenges are ahead. Your multimeter will be your best friend.

Welcome to the forum! There’s a ton of experts IMO that can guide you through. Thanks for saving another Z
  22. Not being an expert, I’m sure someone has tried it and you might find an answer on HybridZ’s site.
  23. Could be the neutral safety switch or the relay. I converted mine to manual and jumped the wires at the trans harness. If you find you need a relay I possibly still have mine if you can’t find one.
  24. Is this a standard or auto transmission?
  25. Thanks for responding. I was mainly referring to the rotor and distributor cap. I’ve read about issues in the past. Hopefully they have that straightened out by now.
