  1. Very nice, Mike.
  2. Here's another idea for you Tomo. Sammie-Joe from the Second Fiddle bar downtown. She is permitted for the interior but only if you have leather seats.
  3. I have a 240Z bra I would like to sell.
  4. Yes, please. DO read the rules for what they say, not what they don't say. For instance, they DON'T say that the $100 bill should be on top of the console, but for obvious reasons it should be inside the console. Just common sense and standard protocol. Beth, I'm sorry I won't be able to judge your car in Nashville.
  5. Check out the rear quarter vents on this crash test. It appears to be LHD?
  6. Great conversation! How anal does it get over here at ClassicZ ? Or...is this a symptom of my "Low VIN" disease? How many great resources we have! Kats, you MUST make a DVD of your films! The scene shows exactly how fragile the early fuel doors and that plastic knob were. Notice how the door bounces? No spring. And notice how difficult it was to close the latch. I see that after a couple of fumbles, the knob closes in the North / South position. Confirm that, right-waist! I thought the "extra plate" was the spring plate also. Not the weld tab on the door. Over time, the weld tab pulls away from the door and rusts. Mine are all pulled away some. You bring up a good point, Mike. Did the S30 come equipped with the sprung door and the S30-S not? Big question.
  7. Yea, it's real difficult to tow a car with a cover on. The cover flapping against the paint will damage the paint.
  8. As of this morning, I have looked at the fuel doors of (HLS30U)-16, 19, 26, 27, 42, 52, and 408. All the same - no spring, no second plate.
  9. Jim didn't "confirm" - Chris looked at Jims' cars. No extra plate on the hinge, but the holes are there. I have a collection at the shop. I'll check further. I think we have discovered something new!?!! Thanks for your info, geezer!

Yes, you can register when you get there.
  11. Just returned from two days in Nashville discussing the convention plans with four of the convention guys. We met with Nissan, the hotel people and the track people also. The convention hotel is within walking distance of Nissan and the car show. There will be three cars in the lobby and about eight more outside the front. There is tons of parking and plenty of room for the fifty-some trailers we are anticipating at the moment. The overflow hotel is about a mile down the road. It is a brand new facility and has the same amenities as the Embassy - indoor pool, business room, etc. Both hotel parking lots will have an off duty police officer for security. We anticipate filling up the front lawn at Nissan with around three-hundred cars or more. Nissan headquarters will be open and food will be available in the Nissan cafteria which services about 1,500 people daily. You'll be impressed. Special displays will be in front of the building including race cars, heritage vehicles, and concourse cars. There have been questions about tickets to just come see the car show and spectators are free. Because this show is going to be pretty elaborate, we decided to start parking cars around 6:30 in the morning and start the show earlier as well. Nashville has it's problems with flood damage but should not affect our convention plans. My picks for local bars downtown include; Legends Corner and 2nd Fiddle for ambiance, Coyote Ugly and Stage on Broadway for dancing, and the quitessential dive bar with GREAT music - Full Moon Saloon. Here are some web sites for Honky Tonk Row: http://www.honkytonkrow.com/ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nashville-TN/Full-Moon-Saloon-Nashville/334731256117 http://legendscorner.com/legends_corner/home.php http://thesecondfiddle.com/second_fiddle/home.php http://thestageonbroadway.com/theStageOn/home.php http://www.coyoteuglysaloon.com/nashville/

Just got back from Nashville and our planning meeting with Nissan. Start getting excited because the convention is going to be way cool. I'm going to post on the convention thread. Nashville has two Hooter's just in case you were wondering.
  13. The primary hotel is Embassy Suites in Franklin / Cool Springs. That filled up and then we contracted for another 75 rooms at the Hilton Garden, just down the street from the Embassy. This is all right around the corner from Nissan headquaters where we will hold the car show Saturday. I'll be in Nashville this Sunday and Monday so I'll have a much better idea of the lay of the land by next week. We did talk about Operyland initially, but they couldn't fill our reservation needs. The place is booked years in advance. Err...not now.
  14. Spitz17, You get what you registered for as long as you paid your registration fee. The registration form won't allow any more Smyrna tour selections at the moment. I'll bet Wednesday tours get added today. Now this bar and drinking thing is getting out of hand!!! Convention = Party. That's all I'm saying! The Jimmy Buffet bar sounds like a can't miss, though. I remember Jimmy Buffet used to play on the North Union lawn for free every Sunday when I was at Florida. Of course, Tom Petty was the house band at the Lamplighter.
  15. I started training about a month ago when Siesta Key Rum first came out. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1485647124&ref=profile#!/siestakeyrum?ref=ts Hope to be in good form by July. Yes two bottles would be fine and sure I'll enjoy that drink! Yes the (now two) hotels for the ZCCA convention are South of town. There will be a bus shuttle to downtown Nashville on Thursday. I hear the rush-hour traffic is horrible.
  16. I'll be in Nashville this coming Sunday and Monday. Looks like they got some water! Opryland is not our convention hotel, thankfully. I hear the bar is still open at our hotel! FYI, the Nissan facility tour at Smyrna is full however there is a conversation about adding another tour on Wednesday. We'll have to see how that plays out. This is going to be a big convention!
  17. Oh my, is that pretty! See you in Nashville!
  18. I hear your pain and I'm glad you found a job! It's going to be a great convention that you probably don't want to miss. Best solution sounds like mine...get on a plane and skip the four days of towing.
  19. Just a heads-up...the cutoff for early registration is tomorrow. That's paid early registration. Unpaid registrations will be purged from the system shortly. Also, just ran the stats from the registration file. The ZCCA judged competition for the car show is nearly full. So is the field trip to Nissan's Smyrna assembly facility. Over 42 240Zs are registered.
  20. All, Good and not-so-good news...the good news is that registration is VERY strong for this year's convention but the not-so-good news is that we have managed to book up the Embassy Suites hotel. However, the convention team has added a secondary block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn. The Hilton Garden Inn is <1 mile from the Embassy on the same road as the Embassy and Nissan's HQ (location of the Car Show). Some rooms *may* be added at the Embassy should cancellations occur, but if you unable to book at the Embassy, please book your room at the Hilton ASAP. We have negotiated a similar package to the Embassy - $119/night, free cooked-to-order breakfast for two people and free internet access. Here is the Hilton hotel information: Hilton Garden Inn - Franklin / Cool Springs 9150 Carothers Parkway Franklin, TN 37067 (615) 656-2700 - Main Phone www.nashvillefranklincoolsprings.hgi.com If you have any questions, please email the convention team at: info@zcon2010.com
  21. Let me fill in for you. I've been slobbering over body parts ever since I was sixteen! Perhaps this comment should go in the Boobs thread.
  22. Roughly speaking, basic registration is $75 and $40 per guest / spouse. And that depends on whether or not you are a member of a ZCCA sanctioned club. DO go to the site for more info on car show, track day, autocross, dinner and other activities. And plan to bring lots of spending money on goodies, auctions and raffle tickets!
  23. Saw your registration, Frank. Thanks.
  24. I'm well, Kats. The economy is not good for architects at the moment but my project is to rebuild the engine for HLS30-00027. I love engine work. I saw a photograph from Boeing for a test of composite wing structures and thought of you. The wings were bent with the tips far above the fuselage!
  25. The PS30 or PS30SB would be my thought for an "original 1969" application; a "thin" 5-speed knob. I remember V12horse from this site had one. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a thread from him buried in the archives some time around 2005. I recall it was a competiton part application? The factory rally cars had them, I recall.
