  1. i have heard researched the covers.. alot... and I have found some that you can glue on.... (which was mentioned before) but the glue... I have no idea what it is.. how strong it is... and if when I try to "pry" the headlight covers off.. will it rip off the paint or leave a nasty permanent glue mark? I figured that despite the horror of drilling into my car, it would be easier to fill and paint a little screw hole that repair that nasty line of glue or stripped paint left by the glue... any ideas?
  2. so... can I still use the same driveshaft? I am going to use an early 5-speed on my '78 280Z... so I won't be using any ZX parts or anything.. can i still use my original driveshaft from my automatic?

  6. Well.. after I saw this picture I was like.. damn those looks nice on that car... so I thought about the rims on my 280Z.. but I know that the offset is different and it has 5 lugs rather than the 4 on my 280Z... Are there any conversion sets I can get or.. somehow put these rims on? NI54 1990-1996 16x8.5 5 lugs 4-1/2" BP NI42 1990-1995 16x7.5 5 lugs 4-1/2" BP
  7. I was watching MTV yesterday, and I noticed that on Snoop Dogg's show... "Snoop Doggy Fizzle Televizzle"... there was a skit where he was playing a PiMp naturally and he lived in the ghetto... and there was an 280ZX.. white in beautiful condition, but they ripped off the passenger door and rear window.. and put on black trash bags, to make it look like it was a sitting pile of junk, or going through restoration outside. made me sad
  8. an good alarm system? I got my alarm system... from Alpine and it was $260 with installation, exterior, hood, trunk, window sensors, starter kill... etc etc. So for $260 and only 5 hours of waiting.... it was worth it. boy i'm so repeatative sorry

  10. when i had my headunit installed in my car professionally because the original owner did a shotty job on a CB radio install... i asked them if they could hook my antenna like that but they said it couldnt be done for a few reasons. I forgot what they were, but from what they said, it can't be done.
  11. oh yeh sorry, just leave the front speaker connections alone, and just connect the rear speakers up. It will sound much better, and you won't run the risk of overloading the speakers or anything. Maybe sometime in the future you can go out and buy some new speakers for the front.
  12. just put in new wiring... when I was installing my speakers last week, i realized how simple it is to just weave new speaker wire in and out of the metal. Took me about an hour to do, and it sounds great.
  13. damn... see after I have read so many of these posts, I went out and spend $260 bucks on an Alpine security system with starter disable and sensors on the hood, doors, windows, and trunk. Sorry to hear about your loss
