  1. Kats, that one is on Yahoo Japan Auction for ~ $700 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b188580701 How much are the original 432R mirrors selling for?
  2. I think you are correct. Maybe the racers put them higher for better forward visibility: "It don't matter who's behind you, only who's in front of you."
  3. The mirror w/o the glare-proof toggle seems to appear in some of the early 432R racers in Japan in spring of 1970. They seem wider at the top too which is like the one in the first post. That crusty grey plastic also seems to agree with the photo below and with other early parts like the ashtray and heater panel. 1970 09 05 Fuji International Golden Race 1970 07 25 All Japan Fuji 1000km
  4. Thanks Alan! Thanks Jim, I'll have a look at 510 mirrors my friends have. It could be one but this one seems to be more trapezoidal.
  5. Are there Z mirrors without the toggle switches like the one in the pictures, or are these from a different car?
  6. I'll have a rental. Should I bring a helmet?
  7. Actually Zedy is a rocket scientist... no BS or leg pulling! He is a smart fellow and has beautiful Datsuns.
  8. Mike, was this available in the earlier registration package or was it just added? I thought I had signed up for it so I am a bit mixed up...as usual
  9. 20mph is correct (built for speed!). The oil pressure gauge also goes to 140psi rather than 90psi.
  10. Welcome to the early bird club!

I wish I was there to help. I have worked in San Luis Obispo. Not sure when I will be back there for more work but I will give you fair warning! There is a great Z head ~ 3 hours south of you who may chime in. @rcb280z
  12. sold for $16.5k. Very low.
  13. Some High-Resolution Photographs: Interesting how the rear view mirror is flipped around and the two different fenders (one has hole for wing mirror and one does not)

  16. He really had to go.
  17. In a pinch, just take the distributor rotor with you. If you have an EFI car just pull the water temp sensor connector. ~ 1 mile of driving max.
  18. @ksechlerYou made me take a second look... ahhhh my eyes!!!! But I did see 2 batteries behind the fuel cell...24V diesel starter?
  19. I would guess a collector or flipper. In one week it would have been easy to tidy up and present better on Ebay for >$10k.
