  1. Here is something that I thought was interesting. These may be original 240zg hinges if they were red originally. I have no clue since I don't know what 240zg hinges look like. Maybe Alan could bring some light to this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36475&item=2458190186 Take care, Ben
  2. I don't know about you guys, but if you have any doubts about how cool drifting is watch the anime "Initial D." I saw one episode and I ended up buying all ten DVD's of it. It is a great show of a kid who drifts an AE86. I believe that the actual drifting scene started from a racer in the seventies in Japan who was racing a kpgc10 skyline and was winning many races and putting on a show by powersliding every which way. I think drifting is an awesome sport, and I do not think it is going to go out of style. It has been popular in Japan since the seventies. Mostly known as downhill mountain pass racing, and preferably in an AE86 or shall I say Panda86 for all you Initial D fans. . However, I do not suggest trying to drift your car unless you are on an open air field or race track. It can be done, but if not done correctly like on the vid, it will not be dirt that you will hit. :finger: -Ben
  3. I love how the hood opens. It is a very accurate rendition. I collect these small Z cars. I have mostly tomica's, but I have the matchbox 260z. I will have to post some pics sometime. What size is this? Isn't it bigger than a matchbox?
  4. That is a nice little video, but like alfa said, more ACTION please!!! I love your music choice too. Gotta love Linkin Park. -Ben
  5. That is one extreme goat. I am not much of a muscle car guy(although I have grown a fondness to fastback mustangs), but I drove a 67 le mans with a 400 in it and man, that thing was crazy fast. Not even close to as scary fast as this beast though. I wonder if it is legal for the engine to be that high. It seems like it would be a huge blind spot, oh but what a blind spotROFL . Nice story. Here are some nice Z's from that site: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/5/4/63595954.htm http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/3/6/63007336.htm Take care, Ben
  6. I don't know. With the way Paul Sr. acts we all might get one of his size 12"s in that place. Hahahaha:stupid:. The difference with american hot rod and chopper is that american chopper always has a theme to work with which is very unique to them. I highly doubt there will be any theme to american hot rod other than cool. -Ben

  8. I watched american hot rod for the first time the other night. I really did like the show. It was a lot like american chopper, but I will always love american chopper more. Anyways, there was some neat people in the american hot rod show, but like people have mentioned, I didn't like Boyds attitude. He was ungreatful. All he wants is that car to be finished. Maybe the show hasn't been on long enough(2 episodes) to tell, but what I love about american chopper is the hearts that the Tuddels have. I like the bikes they build too:classic: .

That is great Guus. I think you are really going to love those wheels. They will just look splended on your car. I think the grill will give your a car an older look to it. You will have to post some pics of your wheels. :classic: You, kytyler, alfadog, eric, and others that I didn't mention are sporting watanabe's. I want to join the club. Hehehehe. I think I have annoyed people so much because everyone knows that I am obsessed with those wheels. Anyways, I like how my car looks now, no complaints, but a good price on a set of 14 by 6.5j or 7j wats would be hard to pass. Take care and good luck with that grill. -Ben

I thought that this grill would fit on 70-72 240z with no problem, but 73 and later had different bumper brackets that would not make the grill fit without modification. Did you buy this for your car Guus? These are nice grills. Very JDM. -Ben
  12. Congradulation's Kytyler! That is awesome. The wheels may not have the offset that you desired, but if the other three wheels look as nice as that one, they will look great on your c110. They look like they still have the original Watanabe gunmetal finish on them. It is hard to come by nice original Wat's. That is an awesome find. I cann't wait to see them on your car. One of these days I hope to get a set for my baby:love: . Take care, Ben
  13. Yeah, definately invite peolple you know if they are not on the forum. I know no one, but I do know that there are a lot more bay area people here that aren't posting. Cheers, Ben
  14. I really like the first generation rx-7's. My parents bought one brand new in 1984. You should post some pics zr240. Nice find and good luck with it. -Ben
  15. Hey bambikiller, I live right off of the ohlone exit. Yeah when your car is done, we should definately have a get together. Z_boi and everyone, once more people are interested I think we should get a meet together. Don't think this is going to be some lame meet either. I am thinking of a nice drive when the weather is good, because like bambikiller said, winter sucks even if we dont really get one. Take care, Ben
  16. Thanks bambikiller for the info on the shows. I don't want to hang with ricers, just 1st gen zcar people. You are close bambikiller, I live off the mission exit off I-680. Anyways, I have to go. I just want to have a z gathering, as you can tell.:classic:. I know no one with a old Z and I am jealous because my friend is on a mazda forum and they have these get togethers every month. They sometimes even go to track events. I just think it would be cool to get to know a few Z people. Thanks for your input. -Ben
  17. After he did the O's with the car/boat he put in the second seat in memory of a young monster garage fan who had passed away and dedicated that build to him. It was a nice touch to the show. -Ben
  18. The MSA show? If that is the Z nationals you are talking I don't know if I would be able to go. I would love to and all, but school is quite hectic these days. Do you know the exact date when the show is blitzkraig? It wouild be awesome to caravan with a group of z's though. Anyways, any suggestions or comments on having a northern cali meet just to go on a day drive or meet up somewhere to talk z's would still be great. Blitzkraig, would you want to have a meet in say 2-3 weeks from now, preferably on a weekend? Hopefully Z_boi could be there and anyone else if this is possible. Take care, Ben
