  1. Oh no guys, stop with the physics. I have a physics final next week and I come here to talk Z's and now it is physics. Ahhhhhh!!!! You guys take care. You know you are all a bunch of nerds. And I am not going to get out my physics and chem books to varify this stuff and jump in on the nerd bandwagon. It's okay, nerds are cool. I am leaving now. Ben*snorting*:classic:
  2. This was all I could find. I personally think you would be better off taking apart an old datsun knob. http://www.flameball.com/Accessories/ACC-Spline.htm
  3. That sounds awesome. Hmmm, there are a lot of junky shift knobs on ebay, maybe you could just take the metal peice with the treads in it and fit it onto the knob that you are making. I think that is awesome that you are going to make your own knobs. In high school, I took woodshop and I loved it. Keep us posted and post pics of your progress.
  4. You are right on the dot on this one Carl. I have seen the 16 by 7 Panasports from msa with 225 wide tires and they fit well. What is the offset of those Panasports that they offer? I am thinking it was +11mm, but I am not positive. Signal, for the tires to clear the strut towers, there must be no more than 4 inches of tire back there(Sorry for the jargon. The lack of it).
  5. Welcome to the forum! I am not an expert on this, but I have seen 225 wide tires on a zed and they seemed to fit well. That was with the stock suspension. That is awesome that you own a Fairlady Z:). You should post some pics of your car. -Ben
  6. Hey Victor, I thought you were joking. Now I remember seeing pictures that you posted of the event. I would love to go to this too if it was late this summer/early fall. I am still not sure if I am going to attend the Z nationionals in long beach. I really want to, but I am taking a class during that time. I am sure it wouldn't affect my studies since I would only go for the Saturday show. Errr. How many of you LAer's going to the nationals? Convince me to go. Ben

  8. I would be up for that one. Hehehehe, I wonder how many z's go to concours.
  9. Awe, that would be a bummer if that show was cancelled because it is literally up the street from my house. I went last year(with my old school Z) and there was a lot more new Z's than old ones, but I would expect that I guess. We have to do something about that or the show is never going to be there again. They should give a discount to the old school Z guys to get them to go. I don't know if that would be fair, but I still think they shouldn't cancel the show for that alone. Keep us posted. Ben

  11. This is pre-cobra. There were 3-4 of these at the show.
  12. ...I think this one raced at the Pan-American rally in Mexico. Does this sound right?
  13. This was the most modern car there, with Panasports and XM radio. However, it is still a beauty.
  14. Here is a nice Porsche. I thought it was a speedster, but it is 356A roadster.
  15. Thanks Alan for the correction. I guess the XKSS is the street version of the D-type, no? I would love to see one of these cars setting off car alarms. I saw this one drive by and it sounded mean with the side pipe. The nicest car one of my neighbors has is a red Pantera and he only drives it once a month. It is not always sunny at the car shows here, we were just lucky that day. Okay, they plan to have them when it is sunny. Hehehe, no boxing up the sun. I have a few more, so I will post them this afternoon. Thanks for the positive feedback, Ben

  19. This is the straight 6 in the d-type with some big webers.
  20. big bonnet...
  21. Okay, I wish I got better pics of this car, but the owner was working on it. You got me excited when you said D-type Lachlan. This is the real deal. 1955 D-type jaguar.
  22. Thanks Craig for the pics. If you have more post them please. Who ever has pics, post them!! Moderators, go approve those pics. Hehehehe:)
  23. Omg, that alfa was at concours. Sorry there were non of those. I would have taken a whole bunch. I have some more. I will post later. I have to work on my paper right now. It is an annual deal, you should come. I'll let you drive my 260z there. LHD and all. Hehehhe. I am serious. Okay I guess it is a little far.
