    Was this car in Lanexa?
  8. Guy, You are correct it quickly adds up and I totally agree. Doing it yourself means you will keep it since you have your blood, sweat and tears all over it!
  9. Chris and I did judge that car and it is beautiful. I am always amazed when these low mileage original owner cars show up at a show. Carl, if you remember there was a car almost as nice that a young man had gotten from his grandfather that was also gorgeous. ANd he had no idea what a special car he had.

  14. I obviously did not order the lock set anytime recently but it was sitting on somebodys shelf ...... I thought it was vinyl but after playing with it I cannot tell. The outside seems like vinyl but the inside has a slight texture so it must be leather.
  15. When I got an NOS lockset a few years ago, the keys came in a plastic/leather key wallet. I will upload pics later.
  16. What a great looking project!!! You are doing well, keep the pictures coming. Fred
  17. Who is doing the work for you in Sterling?
  18. Also fuel filter, brake fluid and hoses. The 3 little heater hoses in the middle of the fuel injection. Probably want to clean all the injector clips, cold start valve, thermotine and temp sense clips.
  19. Photo's 114 through 116 are from this shop. http://www.240rs.jp/
  20. The original paints were acrylic enamels with no hardener. It took a few years until they started putting clear coats on that black was durable enough. Remember these were not expensively made cars.

Getting too hot could also be a plugged radiator or thermostat issue. Does it run hot at speed or when idling? You need to get this figured out before you over heat the engine and warp the head.
  22. My favorites: http://www.datsun-freeway.com/index.html The owner uses Hiro as is English name is one of the nicest people. http://www.ultimate.co.jp/ Not convenient to get to but is close to Nissan plant at Tochigi. The ultimate club is run by the owner and they host Z car Fiesta, pretty much the Japanese National Convention. http://www.240rs.jp/ This is not near where you will be but he is THE 432 restoration shop. http://www.kameariengineworks.co.jp/
  23. Filipe, I did not realize the pictures that I sent you were that poor. The bracket is about 3 inches from the firewall and 1.5 inches from the blower box. Fred
