Update, just recieved my picture CD from www.killboy.com picts are huge and beautiful...they are the same ones I have posted previously, but at 12mega pixels. Think I will have a few made into posters...whadda yall think, give me your choice for the "best poster pose"
  2. I have looked at that kit before, but was undecided about ordering it. How does it look in person, other than posibly not having enough tubing...could always order two

No 1/4 mile times yet, not so sure I will do that anyway, however I will be setting up a dyno tune session in the near future.

Stage 1 port and polish, ie full polish and work the bowls, Port matched, Triple 40DCOE, Header, Nismo valves. The head is an Early E-88 (1971), and I am also using an MSD ignition. Timing is static 20deg BTDC @ 1000rpm, all in 32deg BTDC by 3000rpm. The engine is very lively and very streetable. The cam is essentially hi stage III (490/290), but he asked If I could take a higher lift, so voila 500/290.
  5. The kit from MSA is essentially a Ground Control or an EMI kit. It would be best to go directly through them, you will get a better price, and they will be able to get you the right shocks. You will need to shorten the strut housings and use shorter inserts (shocks) to get the maximum benefit from a coilocer kit.
  6. I use to use the Illuminas till I realized I kept them set at 3 f/r all the time...even durin Auto-X....my current set is HP, howver I am looking into Bilstein or Koni for options

I just installed my custom Isky cam. 500 lift 290 duration. I love it
  8. In the amount of time it takes for me to put 30K on my Datsun, the tires will be dry rotted. I replace my performance tires NLT three years after install. If I could afford to replace them more often I would use Yokohama A032R in 225/50/15
  9. Second one looks real promising
  10. No problem....I have replaced all my lights with LED's so Z it would not have hurt to leave them on as they draw almost no power, however thanks for shutting them off. Also thanks for the compliments on my car....as we speak, I am in the middle of replacing the tranny with a late 5sp, thanks to deficiencies I learned on the Dragon.

  12. Count me in. I will lend a hand
  13. FWIW, my 240 has a perfect 50/50 distro. No spare tire, all soundproofing removed...me and 8 gal gas...2200lbs 50/50

Check with Doug at Fairlady Motors in Tacoma ( www.fairladymotors.com ) he may be able to help you out with either sourcing a front clip or another chassis all together

  16. Bryan....I have seen your car @ the Tidewater show....I would go with 225/50/15 Yok AVS ES 100...but thats me...I prefer yoks over all other brands

Thanks Ron, I really love the job it does stiffening the chassis, just wish the down bar floor plates had not been pre drilled....gonna have to figure out new floor plates for them.
  18. www.modernmotorsports.com Ross builds some great stuff, and his rear disc conversion is no exception
  19. The sleeve is there to prevent over tightening and to set the caster. Just tighten the nut until a sharp rise in torque is felt. That means you have bottomed onto the sleeve and cannot go any further....that is the easiest way to set them.

As far as the webers go...cold start enrichment is really not needed. Just floor the throttle 2-3 times (depending on temp), then start the car and blip the throttle while warming it up until it runs on it own.
  21. Upon futher review, I would say that they used the same console for FI, and Carb'd models
  22. It is posible that they have sold you a euro console. The 260 was sold in europe (and Aus I think) with carbs well into the late 70's....just a posibility, or it is an aftermarket console designed to cover the range from 260-280
  23. LOL AH. just convert to coilovers....problem solved. FWIW, I had the same problem on my car when I went from KYB to Tokico inderts....it raised the car about 1in...like I said...installed coilovers, problem solved
