1. The last time I brought this up (what good is a wing on the back of a front wheel drive car?) I was told that it helps when cornering. I suppose any downforce is good if it doesn't add too much weight or drag, but it's fairly obvious to me that wings on street cars is done 99% for the looks only by people who actually think they look good or make the car look faster.

That's actually not that funny as it first seems considering that Macauly Caulkin is one of many children to have voluntarily participated in sleepovers at the Neverland ranch. What were the parents of all these kids thinking?

It's hard to tell from the picture how big the broken tool is but you may be able to take a really small drill bit and drill a bunch of small holes completely around the perimeter. If you're unable to salvage the threads you can always just put a washer and loose nut on the back side. That attachment point is really just to keep the bumper ends from moving up and down; it doesn't require much strength.

5. Perhaps an early 90's RX7. However, it's really hard to even guess without knowing a person's tastes.
6. I think a 20 year old sports (ok, sporty) car is a bit unreasonable for a first time driver. If they really insist on a Z car for that budget perhaps an 89 300ZX would be more reasonable and reliable. It looks like $3000 is about average for an '89 automatic.
7. It's kind of hard to take good pictures under the dash but since my dash pad is off and most of the wiring is exposed I thought I'd give it a shot. You probably need better views of the connectors (i.e., disconnected). I'll be disconnecting them all soon when I pull the dash frame out again. I put these up on my web site since they're hi-res (1600x1200) Ignition Fuse box To engine

11. As if you'd open the hood with the engine running in gear?
12. While it doesn't specifically talk about repairing the fan clutch, the Summer 2003 issue has an entire article on solving overheating problems in early Z cars. It starts out telling you how to properly measure the temperature and covers the thermostat, fan clutch, radiator, etc.

I had mine done earlier this year for about $600 - front and rear (center and ends).
14. I'd have to guess that he and his buddies decided a nice straight stretch of road would make for a neat trick. Get the truck driving straight with the cruise control on and climb out the driver's door, onto the hood, across, and back in to the passenger door. All while your buddies videotape the whole thing. The thing that bothers me the most about the video is that the fire hydrant appears to be dry.
15. Yes, it just falls right out. I recently redid my seats with new foam and new covers. I didn't bother with the old horsehair material but I suppose if you're picky about originality you might leave it in.

I'd never heard of it either. I did a google image search and came up with this picture of an aftermarket shift boot (it's actually spelled "Alcantara"): http://www.rallycenteret.dk/nyheder/momo/Alcantara%20boots.jpg
17. If you look at the link I just posted you'll see the correct spelling as well as some other interesting information.
18. How would they know? If they've never been to the northern hemisphere they'd have the same problem as you. http://www.snopes.com/science/coriolis.htm
19. You should have received mine already. I sent it out the day after your e-mail. Please let me know if you haven't. From your message it sounds like you haven't gotten anything from anyone.
20. Lot's of people have specifically complained about the "flat top" Hitachi carbs that were used on '73 models in the US. Others claim to have good experience with them. I wouldn't read too much into the comment. One thing that's I've always thought was interesting was that the Hitachi AM/FM radio in my '72 actually has an integrated circuit. I suspect that's one of the earlier commercial mass market uses of IC's.

Are you sure it's beyond repair? You might ask a local radiator shop.
22. You're right. Given the $200 buy it now price you should probably jump at it before someone else gets it.
23. Looks kind of like an Infiniti G35 coupe with a body kit trying to make it look like a Ferrari.
24. I would suggest starting with reading old posts regarding tune ups. Backfiring is an indication that unburned fuel is getting into the exhaust system which is certainly not the fault of the exhaust system.
