Thank you Greg. I see heat guns at all upholstery shops all the time. I gotta a pretty good hair drier with low mileage I could use.

Since they're not leather could you wet them to be more pliable? I'm needing to do my '77 and like those, a lot.

1972 Float Adjustment ...
Can't remember the name but it looks like an old flip phone. $100 red and blue backlight screen. amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/INNOVA-5568-Pro-Timing-Light-Tool/dp/B000EVU8J8 It does it all. I like the dial back setting. I put it on 34 degrees rev it until 2,500 rpm and goes to zero.

1972 Float Adjustment ...
Another thing I thought of I don't remember mentioned is a fire extinguisher. Jalex you need a fire extinguisher. The metel tipped Kidde fits perfect behind the passengers seat in that tool box. You need to move the spare tire tools behind the driver's seat tool compartment.

He needs a timing light that shows rpm. May get a loaner from a chain store?

Need a rear bearing spacer!!!
Is that the same as a "race" that comes with front bearings? Getting those down even was a pita on my garage floor.

Definitive 70 & 71 240z SU Fuel Level Thread
I did 23mm from the underside of the lids. Balanced the two at about 400 rpms each I beleive. The rear is 2.5 and the front is 2.750. Runs great with no overflow and I've beat it pretty hard then popped the hood. No gas smell. I think I got 23 from zkars? He's who pointed out that matches the top of that rectangular boss on the side. I did put two rear short ear lids on mine. Rear lid on the front carb too.

Imagine that!
Ruined it for me. To get calm enough to ride I was in DUI Arabia.

240Z-Parts, Interior, Exterior, Engine
I keep thinking of the Red Lobster menu. Admiral's Feast then Captain's Platter? Dad always got the Admiral's Feast, Step Monster got the Captain's Platter and they both bitched the whole time.

That's a motorcycle rider's thinking right there. Trust know one. If you wreck a bike it's your fault no matter what, with the exception of a frickin bridge falling on top of you.

They been calling me that for years.

1972 Float Adjustment ...
Is that sand on the bottom hose and all over the float chamber? You may want to trade one of those fuel pumps for a belly pan.

Weber selection and initial jet tuning
Very unusual! They came straight to my house. I had to tell them it wasn't me.

1972 Float Adjustment ...
I can't tell from that picture. You should put a small ruler or pencil on the top of that boss on the float chamber then across to your clear tube to see if they are equal.

1972 Float Adjustment ...
My '72s have the little pin you push down to disable the carb. Is that not a good disabler? Should I call my therapist?

Weber selection and initial jet tuning
google search words, "captain obvious pictures or it didn't happen classiczcars.com" First two! I broke our NDA. I owe you 20 million but you never said that.

Weber selection and initial jet tuning
Here's a pic for you. I woke up at 3:15am to this... My house was full of smoke from across the street. Smoke alarms for the first time in my life. I think I pooped a little. No one got hurt. Total loss I suppose?

That'd be a busy rail around here. I like the opposite pole magnet effect for future technology that should be studied. "like poles" repel. My bad.

Tie rod wiggle
I got him for you. I had a girl tell me "they're in your other pocket" for about 5 minutes one night. We got a big laugh as she drove us home.

All the technology on cars now then a bridge falls on your head. I want another motorcycle and a cigarette.
