  1. What Chicken Man said. I have one just like it off a '79 ZX.
  2. If you go EFI you'll have to spend more time on something not as relaxing, like (forgive me married people) but hanging wallpaper and painting and working in the yard, etc. 8^(

Fat Matt's in Atlanta, my favorite. They put it on a Styrofoam plate and then a plastic tray. Said if it ain't enough to break the plate come back for more!

It was an elementary school thing when you got caught chewing gum. 8^) Here's my soon to be seared supper. I've learned something on marinating my beef, vinegar. Quarter chickens are dry rub like you have. Can hardly wait to call my girl anf say "come get your meat".
  6. I'm too dumb for these smartphones! Here's a screen grab though.

You're a southern boy so are familiar with the saying "if you ain't got enough for everybody don't get it out" Just kidding, can't wait to see the after pictures. A pile of bones!
  8. Something else I forgot to mention earlier, when I rebuilt my carbs and cleaned the tank I worried about debris getting into them since I had left the banjo bolt screens off. I googled "push lawn mower fuel filters" and found some UFO looking very small ones with the highest micron number? I think it was. Put one on each short fuel line from the fuel rail to the individual carb. Ran those for a few tanks then removed them, too many potential leak spots and it looked like $^!# with all those hose clamps on my cleaned up fuel system. Similar to this but mine were clear.
  9. Doughnuts, 12 a day and you'll hear people laughing saying "wide load".
  10. You may be on their list too but I got an email from Zcardepot.com that has a 240/260 low pressure pump set up on sale for under $30. Check it out if you haven't seen it. Looks like a good one to me.

That Meguiars No.7 is like lotion. I wipe it on then let it dry for a few minutes then hit with those micro-fiber rags. I barely even break a sweat. I got bored a while back and decided to try the clay bar pre wax, waste of time, there wasn't one bit of orange or anything else on it. If I ever get that bored again I'm going to do my Camry, now that one should show some dirt.
  12. I've got one of those before the OE plastic one that mounts on the firewall. I did it after cleaning and coating my tank so I could see if I had ant debris or "pink" gas from the Red-Kote. It was always filling itself up when running, like it was always half full. Then I finally figured out my floats were way off and after getting them at the 23mm mark that glass filter is always completely full now, while my car is idling. It makes sense to me that if the bowls are full the glass filter should be too. I don't have any filters before the carbs just 3 other ones. One Fram G-2 coming out of the tank, then the glass filter before the original plastic one. No screens on my banjo bolts either. That glass filter is always spotless and a nice goldish color. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, car runs better than ever.
  13. Hey man, this is Dave. Dave who?

Best stuff IMO. Look at my signature pics. Old single stage paint soaks it in like a sponge. Smells good too! I need to shower with it. 8^)
  15. I have a very good friend, with benefits for ME, living in Lennox Villas off Lennox rd. Ponce de Leon was a cool spot when I had a bike. Can't remember the bar's name but super crowded on Sundays. Had a skull and cross bones painted above the entrance. Biker bar on Sunday. A bunch of fun! Miss those days...8^(. Covington HWY strip club too. Bikes and booty!!!
  16. I love you guys!!! Always feel better after reading things y'all post.
  17. I agree with SB. The black looks good to me too. It happened to me when I got back into the Zs after 25 years but you want to do all this stuff when actually you'll get overwhelmed or run out of money. Do the simple stuff and drive the tires off of it first then you'll have something to do when you get older and bored. Damn good excuse to get away from lifes problems to. 8^)
  18. I don't think the broken cork gasket on the float bowl would cause any running problems just gas spilling or leaking out when you're driving. When you say hesitation I'm thinking the oil in the carbs is low or maybe even empty? Screw those black plastic knobs of the top of the domes and check the oil level. You'll see the high and low marks on the dipsticks. If there isn't any shiny oil on the dipsticks inside the "good" marker add something. I use blue label 3 in 1 oil from Lowes. A lot of folks use ATF fluid, do a google search and decide what you think is best. If they're not low or too high You'll need to give us more detail on the hesitation. Good luck and hoping it's something as simple as the oil levels. 8^)
  19. I got on the www back in '95. Never even thought about photobucket? What's the draw? I've got cdrs with all my old pics and now dvdrs. I don't get it but I'm a dip stick. Is it similar to the "cloud"?
  20. You could also, and should, put a Fram G3 clear filter on the hose from the tank to the supply side of the fuel pump. You'll be able to see the crap if there is any. EFI to carbs was very common in the early '80s from all I've read. The carbs have screen filters right before the float bowls that would be easy to look and see if you have a cruddy tank. I would check those first, dropping and cleaning a tank is a jobby job. Good looking car. We'll get to see it at ZCON 2018 in Duluth, Ga. If we're lucky. 8^)
  21. That huge motor in the 240 gets "floaty"? That's amazing. I wanna ride! What about the Xenon front air damn? It sucks my 280 down.
  22. They look like slave cylinder hoses! Get the clear coated SS ones off ebay. $50 for all four. I have them on both my Zs.
  23. Your biggest tech tip fan here, , but I'm getting older and can't see as well as you young guys so could you use a larger font please. Thank you for any considerations for future tech tips and just THANK YOU in general for all the info/pictures you've provided for us. Cliff
  24. My 09/'76, titled as a '77 had an N47 head with oiler cam and spray bar. I'll be using those cam towers, spray bar and reground oiler cam on my E31 head with the high flow oil pump SOMEDAY.
  25. Mr Conway Beiber.
