  1. That sounds about right to me. It's been a few years though so just a guess. Those rivets aren't cheap but I think you'll only need two of the smaller ones behind the tag and 6 of the bigger on top?
  2. Not much at all from what I remember. Be careful putting the screws in the tag light housing, don't overtighten or they'll crack. It is two pieces that slide into each other. The finisher around the brake lights have clips at the bottom, be sure to remember and get those seated. The trim around that stuff is stainless so a light buff with some 0000 steel wool will clean them up nicely. Did you repaint while you have it off? Here's a good thread on a paint choice. Here's the Nissan p/n for the little rivets, right side of the picture. Good luck. P.S I think those bottom two p/ns are for the rubber seals around the lights and all that came from my local Nissan parts department, non stocking but overnight delivery to the dealer.
  3. I'm pretty sure the Z valves are shorter in length than the ZXs. Seems like Diseazed uses early Z valves on his cut P79 head.My machinists used Dodge Hemi vale seats on my E31 when I went to the bigger valves. My expirences/memory only.

That looks great! Glad you're happy with it, same thing I have and I love it. I think the muffler shop was able to tweak yours but I did mine myself and the only way I could get it to work was the offset hole to the rear. I honestly don't think it matters which way the flow is but there's some way smarter guys on here than me. Maybe they'll chime in.

    Sorry guys.

That's how all those lethal fake pills are being made. Chinese pill presses. But Ivanka and her dad make big money there so nothing will change for the next few days.
  7. You have great taste!
  8. Could he clamp off the return hose and see what happens? Simple way to see if they're getting bypassed, the float bowls I mean.
  9. He manipulates the reviews. Like our POTUS.
  10. Why not bend the float tabs?

Every girl I've been around except my Mom and two Grandmothers have "self examined"! I found one on her back in the tub faucet wide open.
  12. 2.4s are peppy, revving and fun to drive. I crank my 2.8 once a month but drive the 240 as much as I can. I've been reading on here since 2011 and still don't know what "stroker" means.

    "Self exam"?
  14. I'm with Mark, it may be as simple as a plug wire's bad connection. I use dielectric grease on all my connections, FYI.
  15. Get Kats to send some floor sweepings and coat that baby. Adam Corrolla would buy it.

Good buy. Those carbs are worth $200 as cores. Steering wheel and shift knob if OE and you've got your money back. Hang around here, we want you to, and you'll get the bug and be done a lot sooner than 4 years. My passenger's floor is rotted too from a leaky heater core. Luckily they make weld in replacements. Luckily I'll do that one day.
  17. Was it a scam CL listing? Maybe copied from BAT like the white with red rocker striped 240 that was all over CL.
  18. Nice looking car! All I've seen is the spark plugs and the carbs. 30 wt for hotter climates, according to 240260280 or Blue or Phillip.
  19. When I figured out my starvation problem it was while going up a mountain. The car would barely run. I could roll it backwards and cut the wheel, perpendicular with the road and let the bowls fill back up then it ran fine for a few more minutes.

My '72 is 69,000ish VIN and metal buckets, FWIW. The '73s have a bigger front bumper and a filler strip. The mounts are different too I believe. Nice project you have there.
  21. Are these the ones zcardepot.com sales? Look the same. https://zcardepot.com/all-products/fuel/carburetor/su-round-top-carburetor-kit-new-240z
  22. I agree, enjoy the car now that YOU have set the float levels (with Marks help-THANK YOU MARK). If you look for problems they'll show up, real and imagined. I can't remember what oil you're using in the SUs but I'm thinking in a hot climate one is the best. Don't know but I'm hoping someone can tell you. Maybe ATF would be be best? But I haven't a clue. I run the 20 weight 3in 1.

That $1,000 could and should be spent on other areas judging by the picture posted.

I think I would remove it from the car and hope some ideas presented themselves when off. Put it against a tree and push it in with a four wheeler or another car? Put a ratchet strap around it and pull it in? Squirt all the nuts with a mix of a quart ATF and a quart of acetone. That stuff works great, and you'll have enough for that Z and a couple more.
