  1. Hope you didn't give their deposit back! You lucked out if you only have to fill nail holes.
  2. Found this over at Z-Car Blog.. Art H. has owned this 1971 S30 since it was new! He had driven and enjoyed it for years but in the 80’s left it parked indefinitely in his garage…sometimes life gets in the way. Now retired, his family discussed moving out of San Jose to the Sacramento area and the Z had to move with them as well. Art was ready to get the Z back on the road so he met with Rob and went through the car...... http://www.zcarblog.com/2017/02/14/featured-cars-and-projects/restoration-corner-arts-1971-datsun-240z.html

Check out this floor plan. Is this the ultimate garage? I would probably consider leaving a few open bays near the work area for friends, but otherwise it looks good to me!
  5. Wow, nice find! Some of that stuff brings back memories when I was shooting B&W during my early HS years (mid-80's). We had a lot of fun in those days. If I had the room it might be kind of fun to try it again. Good luck selling..
  6. You guys want me to put this poll back up on the main page? Or, would it be better to start a new poll with todays prices?
  7. Just saw this post and image above. I am not sure what is going on with that wiring, but, it looks like you have big problems. The top white wire needs to be replaced. Do you have power at the headlight when the switch is turned on? If not, follow the wiring back one step at a time to see where you do have power. Check both sides of the fuses.

Ok sounds good. You should be able to post directly from the mobile app too. FYI, this is in the Skyline swap and sell forum, do you want me to move it to the builds area or into the 240z area? Still not sure what car you are installing this but we should move it to another forum so people can find it easier.. Just let me know, thanks!

Sweet! I always wondered how much effort went into this kind of build. Do you have more pics to share of your progress? m
  10. Welcome to the club, do they still have emissions testing in Phoenix? I thought they would have a classic car exemption like they do in CA.

So? Did you buy the rustproofing?
  12. Sorry, looks like you hit the server while I was doing a backup. I'm making improvements on the back end to make the backups faster so they don't affect the forum.
  13. A neat read over at Petrolicious... http://petrolicious.com/this-couple-drove-from-ireland-to-romania-in-their-280z-to-be-married
  14. Here's the translation: I was able to see it as a race that achieved certain results by being able to confirm it. Based on this result, the development of Z432 is in a steady tempo Although it was thought to be advanced, Datsun Sports 240Z appeared in Fuji 1000 km just six months later. Not a 2 liter of 4 valve DOHC but 2.4 liter of 2 valve SOHC was chosen. Direct line of R380 For S20 type fans, it was an event that can not hide disappointment, but happened to be a series option, 2.4L engine It is a result unique to Fairlady Z which I had. "If the displacement is the same, it will obviously choose the S20 type, but the L24 type The difference in displacement of 400 cc that you have is great. Since the absolute value of the torque is large and there is torque from the medium speed range, L24 It was more suitable for racing, "said Masahiro Haseyami who returned to Nissan from this year. "With no other vehicles at all If I go around the course I think that there was not much difference between the S20 type and the L24 type at the time but always changing the line in the midst of battle Torque type L24 type engine became a big weapon in the actual battle to run. " L type engine There is another great merit in the 240 Z to use. Because the mechanism was simple, maintenance and tuning With regard to work on advanced technology like S20 type (although it is for racing reasonable level is necessary) It was an engine that can be operated on a tuner basis without needing it. After GT-R retires from active service The reason why 240 Z was supported by the private sector is that it is precious in this respect that supports the motor sports of the 70's It was a fighting power. Masahiro Haseyami, who has been involved in the development of the 240Z for the last time, left us an interesting comment at the end. "To tell the truth, Z was not very high in body rigidity, and in terms of body rigidity, the hard top body of GT-R It should be good to talk about Z, but the hard top body of GT-R was anticipating racing youth I am impressed again. The name of "Nissan of the race" is noticed that it is not Date as well. Speaking of this era, people of the former Prince family, especially since it will lead to R32 GT-R after ten years from here You can not but admire it. In the latter half of the 1970s which refrains from expressive activities, it can be interpreted that its existence was sparse, but it depends on private In terms of making the foundation so as not to stop the lamps of the motorsport activities, Nissan Works made the 240 Z The development and aging work had a very significant meaning.
  15. Nice! Hey can you also post this in our links area? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  16. Welcome to the club and good luck with the refresh! Looks like you found a great car at an even better price. Let us know if you have any issues, there are several ZX members in our midst!
  17. Good idea, I put this in our technical articles forum until I can move it over to the tech-articles area.
  18. Looks better than a hooptie. What are the specs on the wheels and tire combo? Sent from my iPad using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  19. What part of Bulgaria are you from? One of my work buddies is from Bulgaria (native) and he's shocked to see that we have a Z member from that country. Not a lot of Z's in Bulgaria unfortunately. You should post some photos of your car, it would be fun to show him. Mike
  20. I remember seeing a car like this in the Nissan showroom in 1988 when I was buying parts for my '71. It would be fun to have if I had a bigger garage.
  21. I guess I should also post this here.
  22. Saw this today on BAT. Looks like a decent condition 1988 300ZX, if you're into these cars it looks like a well-kept ride. http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-nissan-300-zx/ This 1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo shows 89k miles and is one of about 1,000 Shiro Special Editions sold in the US. The car is powered by a turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and remained with its original owner until purchased by the seller three years ago. The Shiro Special was only produced in 1988 and weighed 125 pounds less than a standard 300ZX Turbo by doing away with many of the electronic features. It was equipped with Moon Glow Pearl White paint, Recaro seats, conventional suspension, analog instruments, and a viscous limited slip differential. This example is sold with a clean AutoCheck and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
  23. Who's going to build one of these in 2017 ?
  24. These are forced placement ads and I do not run them on our site. It's a great way to bring in extra revenue but it really ticks people off. I figured we want to keep our members happy rather than force an ad placement. Only problem is, we have to rely on our members to help pay for the site which is not as easy as it sounds. Hotmail is a free service, I think they are showing all of the ads to offset the cost of providing the service to everyone.
  25. Happy New Year!!
