  1. Hi Alan/Kats, Ok, I see the problem from the original picture. You are right, he did an excellent job fixing the hole! I can't even tell there was a problem. Kats, are parts and services expensive in Japan for early Z cars?
  2. Thank you!! I couldn't figure out how to make my car go!!
  3. Hi Kats, That dent in your dash is normal. It was intended for a switch that was never installed. My 1971 240z has the same problem.
  4. Looks like you need to copy the URL's into a new browser window. That site doesn't allow direct linking from another site. Open a new browser window, and copy/paste the URL (address) into the new one.

Zoom... Post a message in the wanted area of our forums. Ask to see if anyone will DONATE a stock manifold to you. I don't think these are very hard to come by and should be laying around somewhere. Man, I remember throwing away at least 2-3 of those a few years ago.

This was posted to the mailing list by Guus (Z-point). http://www.aus300zxclub.com/events/bathurst/bathurst.htm Pretty nice stuff!
  7. Guys, I think we have our first CONVERT here. I am excited to see that you decided NOT to sell your Zcar because of our club! We are doing good in the world!!!!! All kidding aside, I'm glad you're around. Let us know when you have more questions and I know someone will be able to give you a good answer.

Go with a 6 to 1 header. Motorsport sells a decent one. Don't, I repeat, DON'T buy an exhaust piping kit. Buy, the header and take the car down to your local custom exhaust shop. They'll install new pipe that is much better quality. Go with a 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust.
  9. How many of you have a story to tell about a situation involving a police officer? I mean, there are times in my youth when I decided to either hide or run from the law. I'll post my story, but, I also want to hear yours. This thread is a result of quite a few stories told on the mailing list. However, none of them have been shown on the website. I think it's great and of course the club does not promote this kind of activity what-so-ever. So, let's hear 'em!!

    23%.... Interesting test!
  12. Nice one Ben!! What sort of front air dam is that?
  13. Excellent, thanks for the info. I have a few leads on these. I'll see what happens in the next week. Don't these things just snap into place? I think I bent my old ones when I took them off, so, those are shot. [m]
  14. Kmack/2manyZs, are they new sets ? Or, at least in good condition so I can use them on my restoration project? I'm interested if you are willing to sell. There's got to be a way to ship them safely. Maybe tape them to a piece of wood and put that in a box? Let me know what you think. -- Mike
  15. Where do I buy the crome drip rails for my '71 240z ? Are they still available from the part houses?

Where can I get one of these? Alan, you aren't still in Japan are you ?

I was reading something on that site sent by Phred ( http://lighting.mbz.org/ ) and they mentioned that some bulbs should not be used in a housing designed for a Halogen bulb. There are two kinds of lights: filament and arc They mention that your lights can actually become worse (more diffusion) if you don't set it up correctly. Ie: Use a light bulb designed for the housing your installing it to.

    Good site Phred!
  20. Excellent! Thanks... I can't believe there are no more new harnesses left. This might be an excellent market for someone to take.
  21. I need a harness as well!!
  22. Hot damn... yea, that's a nice ride.
  23. Hi all, I'm running into a roadblock finding new wiring harnesses for my '71 240z. I guess Nissan doesn't make them anymore. I don't really want to go with a generic 'kit' because I want the easiest possible solution. Does anyone have the following wiring harnesses available? Engine Interior (rear)
  24. Sounds like you definitely need a new shell. I wouldn't even be able to think about taking on a job like that. If you have the right tools and the ability, then it might be ok.
