Yeah, definitely strange times. I remember watching movies about pandemics and wondered if it could ever happen. At least this one we aren't all turning into zombies. I feel ya about the club being a lifeline. I have been focusing on the back end development for quite some time. Moving to a new domain host, organizing a server replacement, programming some online stuff (hopefully microfiche online soon), and just general club activity. I wish I could say I was working on my Z or at least driving it. Need to get out and kick the tires again now that spring is here. And yes I really despise TV these days. I cut the cable a few years ago but we still get over the air broadcasts. Every time I watch for 10-15 minutes and just shut it off.

Well it looks like the UK has had it with the restrictions. Over 10k people coming out to protest and stand against government control and this idea of a vaccination passport. Photos courtesy of Reuters... links below. https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/anti-lockdown-protesters-defy-restrictions-central-london-march-2021-04-24/ Meanwhile, I've heard reports that other news agencies are not covering the demonstration or some of them are lying by saying there are only a few hundred people in attendance. https://www.bbc.com/news (currently no coverage on their website)

Other than breathing in carbon dioxide all day, what could go wrong? 😛 I also find it funny when people drive their cars, by themselves, while wearing a mask. I mean, c'mon people. There are times when it's good to wear a mask, I agree. But sometimes I just shake my head.

Yeah, I agree that we have to live with it now. However, I disagree that it doesn't mean anything. If you watch the documentary, you'll hear that China locked down travel to the places where they think it started. In order to find the genome to create a real vaccine, I would think it's necessary to get in and find the origin -- which means China will have to lift these restrictions. The video suggests that some suspicion is still around bats, but, more because people are using bat droppings as fertilizer. Not around people eating bats or doing experiments in labs... I'm currently waiting for NHK to release the next part of this program because I'm very curious!

I really liked this documentary on the Japanese news NHK World's channel. They did some data gathering and had some interesting findings. It's about the origins of the virus. https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ondemand/video/4001389/

Yeah man, this guy is controlling the destiny of our country... power. Although some of his investments in biotech are debatable, he's still floundered around on his public decisions over the last year. This kind of thing shouldn't be in the hands of a single man. Take a look at his entire (news worthy) history here: https://www.theepochtimes.com/t-anthony-fauci m

I hope you're joking... Fauci is a slave to his own greed. I lost faith in that guy a long time ago.

First of all... don't believe everything you see on the news. The media is a one way street and I trust them less and less these days. Second of all, the stupidity around the vaccine is just insane (not anyone here, I'm pointing more at the media). The reason they have to give booster shots is because they have NOT isolated the genome necessary for a real vaccine and will continue to provide booster shots for all the variants. Both the CDC and FDA websites have a ton of data on this subject, but you have to dig for it. In fact, did you know that all COVID vaccines currently being used are not on the FDA's approved list? They are experimental vaccines under a preliminary "emergency use authorization"... I'm not a medical professional, nor am I giving advice. I'm simply supplying a different point of view from the media and all the hype going on. https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/vaccines/emergency-use-authorization-vaccines-explained Here's a list of approved vaccines: https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/vaccines/vaccines-licensed-use-united-states What I am really worried about is using an experimental drug and having side effects. I'm not so sure my insurance company covers health conditions caused by experimental/unapproved vaccines. I'd rather take my chances than trust the political rush around this virus. Do your own research and take the necessary steps to be ABSOLUTELY sure you want to be doing this. You don't want to get stuck into a situation where a vaccine is pulled from the shelves (https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/joint-cdc-and-fda-statement-johnson-johnson-covid-19-vaccine). Good luck and stay safe, my friends. Mike

It's ok to leave it here actually. What first started off as a possible carb problem and turned out to be something else. Someone else is likely to run into the same problem in the future. Unless you want to continue the post, of course...
  21. Oh that's pretty damn awesome!
  22. Wow, it's awesome to see how many good looking Z's are on BAT. Also feel free to promote our club to the potential winner in the comments section of BAT. Would love to see these guys come to our site to help preserve and maintain their cars. I've already seen a few, so this is exciting!
  23. Of course I'd like to tell you to post here. However, both sites have a great reputation (as you have found). We take pride in offering real-world advice without the drama. HybridZ, as the name suggests, seems to be mostly focused on hardcore modifications to the Z. While, we focus mostly on the stock or mild upgrades. Not so say that we don't have the hardcore modification forums though.. 😉 m

  25. Gents, I am to read a bunch of compliments about how this website is unique and helpful. I'm stepping in because we seemed to divert into a name calling spree with finger pointing at "who did it" ... Please respect each others' opinion and move on with the topic at hand. We are a classic Z forum and a community of like-minded individuals. With all the crazy $^!# going on in the world right now, the least we can do is respect each other and act humanely. That said, I agree this forum is very unique. It serves a small portion of the massive car communities around the world. When you talk about the Classic Z, this place fits an important part of history. Without guys like us, this car would be just another metal box on wheels forgotten in time. That, I am proud of. Thanks, Mike
