  1. Yea, I like the idea of a car that we can both work on together. Some Z-logo merchandise wouldn't hurt either. Need some kind of seat that he can sit on while I work on the car during this age in his life (1 week old now).
  2. Mike commented on thefastestz's gallery image in Big Z Photo Collection
  3. Very nice deal, indeed. That car with those miles.. a steal at mid-30's. Congrats, you have me DROOLING!! Would love to see more photos.
  4. Sweet, I'd love to attend this show. Should be a great time. Mike B, I think he was trying to announce it to everyone in each timezone. I think I'm going to add a "Event Announcement" forum somewhere so people can just announce shows in a single location.
  5. Don't forget to take some photos and upload them!!! There is a new gallery just for this now..
  6. I'm going to try and get some kind of nametag or lanyard I can wear during the show. But, I will also be around Saturday for the races and the banquet. Anyone care to get together give me a call and we'll arrange something. 503-784-3499 is my cell number
  7. Sounds great!! My cell phone number is 503-784-3499 if you want to get together give me a ring.
  8. I'll be in town all weekend. Anyone want to get together? Dinner or whatever... Show day let's have a meet up ?
  9. Looks like I'll be there. No Z though.... Just a rental car.
  10. Yea, cmon guys it's a used car. It's not going to be perfect. Anyone who decides to buy it should go look at the car in person to make sure it's exactly what they want. I don't see anything in his ad that makes me think he's lying and a cheater. Jumping to that conclusion is negative thinking and not fair to do right out of the box. For less than $3k it doesn't look that bad to me. If I was in the market, I'd certainly ask for a few more photos and try to make a judgement call if it's good enough to buy a plane ticket. Buying a car over the internet without looking at it in person is just asking for a confusing purchase. I've seen it happen. Anyway, thanks for sharing the link.
  11. I'm a bit confused as to why this thread is such a huge problem... A classic Z was sold through Ebay. If the new owner wasn't happy with his purchase, he should be contacting Ebay or the proper facilities to get this resolved. Posting all of the "evidence" on this site and public bashing isn't something we want to be known to promote. I'm going to close this thread now. Thanks. Mike PS: The updates to the car do look great! Even if there is some purchase 'drama' I think the final product looks pretty awesome!
  12. There are various ways to do this in the USA, but, there are complete kits available at Motorsport: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/PBC12 From what I can see, they have a few options ranging from a small kit with the brackets to a stage 1 and stage 2 setup. I have heard you can put these parts together yourself but you'll still need the bracket.
  13. Yea, Oregon is a bit strange in a lot of ways. I don't mind the gas thing, and, as long as I'm standing next to the guy when he fills up my tank, there are no scratches. I really like the fact that we don't have to pay sales tax. But, this bill is an absolute joke and I seriously doubt it will be passed. There is a lot of money riding on this one.
  14. I actually know a lot of Roadster owners who frequent this site. Since our sister site, classicfairlady.com, is down at the moment, this is a good place to start up conversations. I'd love to start discussing the info here because it was really the start to the Z anyway.
  15. CONGRATS on the new arrival!!! This is exciting news and it's good to see another future classic Z driver coming into his own. Get some sleep and enjoy the baby stages!!
  16. OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer" and refers to products sold with your car when it was new.
  17. Here's a link to some really cool Scarab information provided by one of our members. It's at the Zcar Club of Washington: http://zccw.org/zforum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=159
  18. After looking at that engine on Ebay, I think you should probably stay away from it. The the oil filter area is painted over including the threads and valve. The title of the ad says E31 head, but, the description inside says E88 head. Call the guys at Rebello for an engine rebuild. You should see their banner pop up every so often. Mike
  19. Glad to see you back, Ronnie. If you ever forget your password again, you can use the "forgot password" link to recover it. Assuming, of course, if you're email address is correct... the system will send you a new password. Enjoy!
  20. Hi guys, it's cool to see new forums go online and hope you have the best of luck with it. Please remember to post links on those sites back to ours, especially if you're using our forum to promote it. Thanks!!
  21. Lovin the Buell... nice work!
  22. Hi there YOUNG ONE!! This is yourself replying nearly 6 years later. OMG. What did you learn in that timeframe? Women are C-R-A-Z-Y!! And, it's awesome to have friends on this site that can help you finish your Z project. I just can't believe it's been nearly 6 years since I saw you on this thread. Things are going much better these days and I love what you've done with the website since 2003!! I'm now 38, 0 kids, 0 wives, 1 girlfriend, 1 parrot, a '71 complete car, and no more parts or junk in the garage. Wee!
  23. Love it!! Nice work on the paint job....
