    Post some pics Davey G.
  2. No problem. Post a pic of your 260 on here man!
  3. OR, maybe a late 260 grille with turn signals will bolt right on. You'd have to ask someone who has a late 260 setup that way (Datsun did weird stuff on the 260's... )
  4. Now WHY would you want to do that? Hahahah. The 240-260 grille is narrower than the 280 grille, and have different mounting points. It would take some fabrication skills to put a 280 grille in a 240-260. If you really want to move your turn signal lights, and make everything look right, you'd need a 280 front spoiler (so as to cover up the area where your current turn signals are), and cut openings in your 260 grille. Then you could fabricate 280 turn signals with brackets to fit in your opening. That is alot of work. If you look at my 280, I used a 240 spoiler with 240 turn signals, and just capped off the 280 turn signals in the grille. Much MUCH easier than doing the opposite. In my opion, the 240 turn signals look better than the 280 in-grille turn signals.
  5. Early 260's have them mounted either below the front bumper, in the valance, or in the grille. Late 260's have them in the grille, just like the 75-78 280's. Figure out what ya need, and post an ad in the Parts Wanted Section.
  6. No, I think MichaelZcar (works for Zcar.com) is still taking orders. He just needed a minimum of 10 buyers. If you are a member on HybridZ, you can send him a PM with your email address & phone number. Someone will email you or call you back to take your order. Here's the link for the HBZ ad: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/88782-new-spoiler-with-some-z-car-history/page__pid__850718__st__60entry850718
  7. I bought one on a group buy on HybridZ for $149. It should be here next week. Based on a few other members who had them, the quality & fit was good. Guess I'll know for sure in a week.
  8. If they were 1/2 the price and in black, I'd go get them right now
  9. OR... maybe a few tablets of Efferdent denture cleaner in a bucket of warm water. If it is suppose to clean tobacco & coffee stains without harm to false teeth, it might work LOLLOLLOL
  10. And you're positive it's coming from the transmission?
  11. Does the noise go away when you push the clutch in? Throwout bearings? Just a thought...
  12. Maybe some toothpaste and a lot of those teeth whitening strips
  13. Ya, NOW you tell me...... :stupid:
  14. Ya, there is more than one way to clean your rear-end...
  15. I had a couple cans of carb cleaner sitting on a shelf, so used that with a bbq grill brush. Worked like a charm.
  16. Shhhhhh...it happens.

  19. There ya go Julio. Sometimes taking stuff apart, then reassembling it cures the problem. The horn on my Z has never worked since I got it 3 years ago. I had to replace the light switch. When I reassembled everything, I noticed the turn signal - to - headlight bracket was not pulled up correctly. Moved it, tightened it, and the horn started to work.
  20. You can get the clips for your door lock cylinders and window crank handles at Auto Zone or most other good auto parts stores. They have a "Help" section that has all sorts of misc. parts (knobs, clips, screws etc). Cheap too. Sorry, can't help ya here on the window installation or remaking the door stripe. Good Luck on on your restore!

Yes, the light indicates your battery is below 12 volts and NOT being charged. The Z won't run when the volts gets down to 9 or 10 volts.
  22. It probably didn't unless you pressed the brake pedal when the brake lines were off. But I'd bleed the rear too, just to be safe.

Sounds like something came unplugged or you blew a fuse or two. I'd double-check to make sure all your wiring is plugged in good, and check your fuses including your fusible links. Obviously everything was ok since you said everything worked until you put it back together. The turn signal wiring also connects to your headlight switch. As far as why your engine won't start doesn't make sense unless you somehow pulled some wires loose or blew your fusible links.
  24. That's how both of mine read. Maybe you had some sludge dislodged. I wouldn't be concerned.

I had the heater box out on my 280. The flaps pop out, but you have to becareful not to break the plastic "pivot pins", as they tend to be fragile. Not sure if the 240's are this way, but I'm sure they are similiar.
