  1. 26th, see my previous post. Zbarn will accomodate this for a hundred bucks.
  2. I found these to be very familiar 22) you know the whereabouts of all S30 Z's in a three county area and the story behind each one because one day you will own it when the current owner just throws in the towel and buys something else. 26) since 1990 you've owned 35+ Z and ZX cars and the family wonders why you're still single at age 32. 27) you find a random bolt on your driveway and can tell exactly where on your Z its supposed to go. 28) you have three boxes of bolts, nuts, and washer in your garage...all from the Zs that you bought and or parted out to make your one good 240. 30) every time friends see or hear of a Z car for sale they call you because they "thought you might be interested." 37) you can spot a Z in someone's backyard while your just driving by. Usually the car would be under some type of shed or barely visible at all.
  3. Roger from the Zbarn sent me mine which was from the passenger side strut tower down to the frame rail all the way back to the firewall and included the firewall section as well for a hundred bucks which included shipping to me in NJ FWIW.
  4. I don't know that I would fault jesse for doing the autozone thing. At this point in his position with all the loot he is raking in from discovery and these commercials he can reapply those earnings into building his business even further. I think I would do the same thing for sure. make your bucks early so in years to come his nestegg will allow him to choose his own path with whatever business goals are. I'd be looking at early retirement for sure the reep in the fruits of his labor. FWIW anyway.....
  5. these are my annual monday must see tv. I call it mullet monday's if you will. I love watching all of these types of shows. Its about time to give kids dreams of being able to do this. When I was a teenager in highschool we garage monkeys were all frowned upon cause these kinds of professions weren't "college prep" or business related. This may save many mechanical/industrial arts programs in our schools and thats important.
  6. now wouldn't that be something to tell your friends. "hey man come on down, I just bought a boat and am throwing an all night party on it"
  7. Victor, you can choose 10 cd's from me to burn. I can atleast replace some of your music. I hope its okay that everything on this list is live and anything on dat were concerts I have personally recorded. Oh, and I do have a sweet buddy guy from last year. John mayer came out and closed the show with a 30 minute mustang sally where buddy handed his guitar to John while buddy signed autographs in the crowd,. Its fun being part of a concert promotional team. www.phishhook.com/lists/datsun
  8. Man that is effed. I'm very sorry to hear that vic. sounds like Lo-jack is going to be the way to go out there in CA. Thankfully here on the east coast, nobody wants to steal our rustbuckets.
  9. I had 4 years invested with her, and two of them we were living together. The other guy drives a whooped beat up cherokee so in this case, I have the ferrari...or well close to it Just goes to show, You don't ever know watch each card your playing, please, play it slow
  10. it's all good. Just a fact of life you know :classic:
  11. mine just left me as she decided she'd rather date the guitar player of the band I was the archivist for. :devious: Sooooo, with that said, theres now more room in the driveway for my stuff, and there's no limit to how much time, money and effort I put into finishing my car. still sucks though :sleepy:
  12. I do know it makes a differance on whether the 260 is early or late. Early 260's had the turn signal indicators below in the valance like the 240's. Later 260's were half in and half out of the grill.
  13. I beleive MSA and victoria british here in the states sell a kit for electronic latches and "keyless" entry.
  14. Now that I think about it, a 77 fuel tank will not fit into a 240 tub and it;s not a strap issue. The 77 280 has a collapsable spare tire therefore the tank is thicker tank. The 240 has a full size spare and the tank is thinner where it lies under the spare tire well. Check around carefully as the 70-76 Z cars all had full size spare tirewells so you may be able to interchange one of those years. FWIW Just a thought to research
  15. One thing that gets me with these cars. People claim to know so much about them, however when it comes time to sell them, nobody ever shoots pics of what IIIIIIII would want to see when buying a Z. Put the thing on a lift, and take pictures of the UNDERNEATH of the car, The battery well, Inner fender well, frame rail cradle support, hatch lip area, firewall, rockers etc. 4 pics of differant angles of the body and, 3 pics of the interior mean nothing to me as well as two top shots of the motor. The interior never plays a part on whether I buy a Z. Interior restoration is childs play and the various pics of the little 'dings' are meaningless when it comes time to have to cut out the floor.
  16. Frank is correct. that is the ground wire that attaches to the firewall.
  17. a couple of bucks at most. Let me take it off the seat, snap some photos for you to see the condition and we can go from there. shipping should be really cheap.
  18. I've got one from some old seats I have I could part with.
  19. ttdriver, I;d be interested if the shipping wasn't brutal from CA to Jersey
  20. alright, try that again here;s a link to the site http://www.iaiamedia.be/guillow/frameset.htm
  21. here;s a pic of the kit
  22. I'll post pics of mine when I get out of work.
  23. I was just there hunting for it. I only paid about 60 bucks for it a couple of years ago however I'm sure you can still get a hold of one. It's a real legit kit. Comes with all the rubber tubes to wire up the distributer, to the plugs as well as the clutch master to the slave. I added wires for the strarter and batter terminals as well. the stearing moves, has full blown spring suspension. really a very nice well made kit. Let me hunt around.
  24. 2many, Tamiya did make and I beleive still does make the 1/12 scale. Its the G nose RHD, however its still a nice kit. Mine has been unfinished for about a year now, however its almost there. Mostly finishing touches such as the glass and such. I would love a 1/12 scale NA model. I gurantee they are out there....someone has to have one
  25. I haven;t seent he second revell kit yet. The plain old 240. I bought three of the kits with the graphics. I finished two of and have one more to go. I agree with 2many on the fit of a few things. I should take a pic of my ancient can of turtle wax with a green 240 on the can. I found it in my shed many many years ago and have held onto it.
