Hi, Ed. Glad to see another Houstonian here. I urge you to consider joining The Z Club of Houston for camaraderie and hands-on tech help.
  2. Leonard, has the Doc put you on rat poison yet?
  3. Also be aware that adding a rear sway bar will increase the tendency to oversteer or, conversely, decrease the tendency to understeer. I agree that a decent sized rear bar, say 3/4" should be accompanied by a front bar of at least 1", perhaps 1 1/8". As Zedyone said, it is a system, and each unique change can present what is known as "unintended consequences" in the car's handling characteristics.
  4. It's the manifold that determines total overall length of the assembly. If it's too long, obtain a shorter manifold (if you don't have the short one already). With Mikuni carbs, there were two manifold styles, one for regular street driving (shorter), the other longer for competition. K&N has filter assemblies that allow fitment for both.
  5. There's too many "I don't know, it was that way when I got it" answers to questions. I'd pass on this one as it's obviously just a pass-through "unit" to the seller.

  7. Are you gonna have fun or what?
  8. I dunno. My old Z puts out roughly 185 rwhp and it's got a mild head re-work, headers, some sort of performance cam and triple Mikuni carbs. Stock block. It'll run faster than my old gonads can handle, i.e. ~135 mph +. With a light car as the Zs are, it's likely that any choice you make will be quite sufficient for most driving situations.
  9. ^^Ditto. The addition of a rear spoiler and front airdam helped my fume issue. I also replaced the taillight seals... no more fumes.

  20. Depending on weather, I'd enjoy the short drive.
  21. I presume you're speaking of the wires, one of which goes to one end of the resistor and the other to the other end of the resistor?? If so, merely join them together or move both wires to one end of the resistor, leaving the other end of the resistor without a wire.
  22. No pics, but that size should fit nicely.
  23. Try Black Dragon or MSA.
  24. Grunt a bit more and splash about a bit.....
