336 diff.....ordered the twisting pliers to wire lock the bolts.

FutoFab CV axles
All finished. Took it for a test drive and it works perfect. No noise, no slack.....solid. Even when I let off and nail it, no play......I’m happy with Futofab CV shafts!

Thanks Mike. I guess a can of black paint will make color choice an option.

Well here they are.......... Doesn’t look too difficult. I’ll take some pics of the installation.....maybe the Stroker motor won’t hurt these babies!

[2019] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Had a noise in my ZX tranny in the 73, so I decided to install the one that Eiji rebuilt for me. I’m also taking out the Exedy Stage I performance clutch (too strong for my use) and installing an Exedy stock 240 mm clutch. If anyone wants the clutch and disc (240 mm) for $200.00 plus shipping, it’s theirs (I paid $475.00 and only has 1500 easy miles). Wow, a transmission jack makes it so much easier.....of course the lift does too ?

Swapping to f54/p90
Wow Sailer Bob.....it’s been a while.......welcome back. I have a number of threads I’ve started on building the F54/p79 combo. Shaving the head and shimming the towers is the secret to getting performance from your set up.....flat tops also. I would make the cut out for the manual fuel pump.....you can always go either way if you choose. Guy

[2019] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
I use the stock manifold on my cars. Never really liked the hollow sound of headers and have heard (but can’t verify) that headers don’t add that much h.p......stock exhaust manifolds are fairly efficient. If I were building a true race car, I would go headers......on the street, stock manifold works for me. IMO

Starting my Wall Sculpture
My body man is finally getting around to starting my Z car wall sculpture. Thanks to Zup for going out his way in getting the driver’s door. I don’t think he needed to apply the parking brake on his parts car that he got the door from to keep it from rolling away. No one will steal it either. I’ll update as it progresses. ?

Deal? Or No Deal?
I’d say those two pieces are the mother lode, you should thank the Datsun Gods! Great buy!

Deal? Or No Deal?

Rear Spoiler Fitment
Good point on the rubber washers Site. I used rubber “O” rings under each bolt......not only does it keep the spoiler off the paint, but allows water to pass through for drying purposes and by sealing the bolts, it keeps water out of the holes in the deck.

Rich.....I don’t know what you charge, but I’m sure it isn’t enough!!!!! Very, very nice.- [2019] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
What a great sounding symphony!!! Beautiful car too.- New Z Concept by Privateer Artist
I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s been working for Ford in a big way with the Mustang (pretty much unchanged from original design).......not so much with the Camaro. I think if Chevy had made it closer to the original design they would have hit a home run, but they can still do it if they so choose. I just say ditto to everything grannyknot says above......why change perfection. Nissan needs a boost.....this would do it. Not much on their menu today that I would buy......especially since the Xterra is gone. - We're bringin' back the Flat Tops!
