Window & Door Seals
Mike, I wasn't aware (and really still don't know why) there would be any difference in the seal kits from the earliest 240's through 78 280's. The areas being sealed (windows, doors, etc) were identical on all early Z's....I thought. Perhaps some flanges or lips or something else that is not visible were changed.

Window & Door Seals
My kit was mfg'd by (for?) Precision Replacement Parts; purchased from Classic Datsun Motorsports. I haven't installed yet, as my car is still pre-paint. If I recall, Les at Classic stated that the kits that are available now (whether his, VicBrit's, or Motorsports') all fit and seal quite well in the late 260's and 280's. 240's and early 260's require some extra effort with all of the kits that are currently available. FWIW

Very Nice... I love the paint. Your site looks great; it's scary seeing the parts list. What's the tally to-date???

73 Interior
I have that exact wheel (if the "hamburger" says "Nissan" and not "Datsun"). It came off of my 73 parts car. It's a GREAT feeling wheel.

Soon to be mine
I didn't think you needed backspacing on MiniLites or Panasports... That's why I like them (a deeper look, unlike all the crap you see on racerboys' cars)

Does anyone have an A/C unit that blows COLD in an early Z?
The compressor is probably manufactured by Sanden, near Dallas. They're a big Tier 1 automotive supplier... Ford, Saturn, Mazda, Honda. (They use a shitpot load of our CNC drilling and tapping machines.) Just watching the thread, and had to chime in. I'm pulling for you Mushu! I need to do the same to my 4-wheeled convection oven.

I must say that I like the shape of the hood, the windshield, the headlight buckets, and windshield wipers.

Same wheels as in the B/W photo? (these look like 5-spoke, others look like 4-) I like these wheels... what type?

Sex or Z?
Depends on who you are... If you're young and still studly, the sex comes easy and free... still have to fork over the bucks for the Z. If you're more "mature"and established, Z's are relatively affordable; but the rust-free pink (without fender flares) is a bit more precious! Just passed the big 4-0, so I'm firmly planted somewhere in the middle!

Glad to see it's back. If this were deleted because of lack of Z-content, I'd be miffed (since people are oooh-ing and aaah-ing over that Stanza looking thing from Australia) No offense Cuong!

Purchase/Restoration/Mod -- Where to start
You say you want "basically stock", BUT: The following is not stock: "at least 250HP, great wheels, and might be slightly lowered. I would probably put modern brakes on it too. I would probably put more modern seats and seatbelts in too." What's more important? Stock or modified? If you're going to modify it, go for a 76 to 78 280Z. Their cheaper, easier to find, and you're not messing with a true "classic" 240. (They're also fuel injected, so not quite as finicky as carburated 240's and 260's). They're heavier, so not as nimble. If you want stock, go for a 240, and keep it stock. Modifying as you explained will cost you some bucks... the car PLUS however far you want to take it (plan on about $3,000 minimum in mods you've identified) Then again, if you're going stock, and the car is far from perfect, you could be looking at the same upgrade cost AFTER purchase. Good luck

350Z, incorrect name?
Performance per dollar (US) it's as good or better than anything else out there. What's wrong with the styling? Last time I checked my calendar, it said 2003. Look at everything else on the road. Considering the value, I'd take it in a heartbeat over any other car with no (or useless) backseats. Mustang, Firebird/Camaro, Thunderbird, Miata, Honda S2000, Vette, etc, etc.
