Did anyone mention the "NISSAN 2400 OHC" rocker cover and hand throttle yet? I know this is hard to believe but HS30-00352 isn't far from finally being driven again. SHOCK HORROR!!!
  5. Absolutely. I was not planning on driving winter or rain. I just want to still protect the underside and make it look nice and neat. Thats all.
  6. Thanks for the support everyone. it really is pretty fun putting it all together. Got a lot done yesterday and today. Got the door window frames cleaned, polished and installed. Replaced some of the connector housings, got the rest of the smog lines in. Got the headlight buckets on (will probably revisit those, gap is a bit wide. Thinking I may shim the inside lip.) Got the fuel door on. Also, here is a pic of the red coil cap

It just presses and snaps on. Plastic on plastic, if I remember right. But the plastic bits on the inside are usually worn. Look inside the chrome cup-shaped piece and you'll see the remains of what was supposed to happen. I had to pick up some wrecking yard parts to get one that would stay on. Never mind, those are 280Z details. Looks like 240Z is different. I looked at your picture.
  8. I'm far from an experienced Weber tuner, but that's the main purpose of this post - I share everything as I'm learning. That way I can forward the information to others in a way that is easy to understand, rather than being so "pro" at it that you get too 'technical.' If I don't understand it - then I won't post it until I do. Most of the information I'm sharing comes from a ton of reading and from friends who know way more than I do and have been gracious enough to share their knowledge. I'm just sharing the love! Eventually, I want to extract all the important parts from the manuals/guides and re-write them in an easy-2-follow way for beginners to comprehend and avoid making things too complicated. It'll take time, which is why this post is a WIP. Thanks again for your kind words, Cliff! I'll be sure to update this post as I gather more information
  9. Well I'm more than happy to help you teach me! I have a set just dying to get your help and help from others. I'm reading as much as I can, and you are adding more instructions with pictures. Thank You for taking the time for us to learn more. I really appreciate that and I'm sure future Weber guys will to. Thanks again for your detailed post! Keep us up with your progress when you have time. Cliff
