  1. I only get this much done when my wife is out. Otherwise, I end up doing a lot of honeydo's Got a bunch of little things done today. Cleaned the front air ducts and installed those. Touched up scratches on the rear panels and pressed them in place. I noticed the back hatch panel does not have any holes to attach the gray panels. I will have to drill that in order to put the rivets through. I installed the filler tube, flap and gas cap. i may end up getting a new flap for this. There are some small cracks on this flap at the edges. Also painted the front grill panel satin black. Pics below
  2. @78280ZXHELP You might want to check with Bill's Datsun Shop in Clackamas to see if they have an ECU. Ask for Jaques. It sounds like it's time to go at all the electrical connections with DeOxit. Everything will work better, even the things that are working now.
  3. so after more investigating and talking with the kid the injectors were replaced not long before he bought the car. the injectors were unplugged from last night so i had him turn the key to the run position and i opened the throttle wide and could hear each injector spraying as i plugged and unplugged them. Am I right in assuming that unless the car is running or cranking over there should be no fuel spraying from the injectors? So in that case then something else going on with the ECU or something injector were replaced on 8-21-2015
  4. had a mechanic friend said to check the FPR cranked it with the vaccum line off no fuel or anything even tried changing the stemp sensor under the thermostat the two wire one still wont run. took the TPS? off maybe well a different diesel Mechanic friend did the black box with wires down by the core support. anyways with the intake tube open with key in start position and throttle wide open you could here fuel spraying seems to be not right to us but it was 106 out yesterday and didnt spend much more time outside messing with it.
  5. Yes an interesting article indeed. Quite a simple but effective solution. Properly tuned with a stage 1 cam capable of 27 to 29 mpg. I can attest. They always work.

  8. Prices seem to vary all over the place on E-Bay. A Standard Blue Streak ES-9 goes from $24 with Free shipping to $95 for the same part. Shop carefully. The $19.95 USD solenoid from Carb Junky's should work fine. You'll have to fabricate a mounting bracket. 9. Anybody using this Nismo header on their stock 240Z motor? Are you running a resonator? Which muffler? Do you stay 2" from the collector out? Performance Header: 14004-S3070 Designed for square ports with 1 1/2" primary tubing, the header is a 6 into 2 into 1 design with a 2" collector. It is painted and I figure I would have it jet coated before installation. My '71 240Z's header is rusted and needs replacing. Thanks!
