  1. Was that a quote from a HAL 9000 ... ?
  2. More sanding, more filling, more sanding. But the effort is paying off. I sprayed the dash again today and it's 95% there. I built up the center gauge pods since they'd collapsed over the years, but the one for the clock has too much of a rounded profile and needs some reshaping. There's a couple areas that need a little touching up, but aside from that, the dash is looking good. I'll probably end up flocking it, so in the end, it may all be overkill. And, Merry Christmas to me! The wheels were a gift, the tires I bought for myself. Aesthetics are not this car's strong suit, but the new wheels maybe bring it up from hooptie to beater.
  3. Thank you, so you have the long side of the L bracket beneath the horizontal crossmember? That would certainly give more clearance for the half shafts.
  4. Tomorrow will be the final fitting and welding after I get the frame coat paint on. I will be adding a jack plate to the bottom of the front floor pan section. 1/4" steel plate should do nicely!
  5. Hope this helps......
  6. That looks really cozy. Nice :^) Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  7. Dmoralesbello, your whole interior looks great and seems like a very comfortable place to be. Love the door panels and seats! From the pictures you seem to have all the modern amenities like power windows, a Retro-Sound radio, and more. I like how you trimmed your dash gauges in white or silver. Really helps to tie everything together. Great job!
  8. By-the-way: just inserting an oxygen sensor into a tailpipe is not going to be enough. You need to push it as far as possible so you will get an honest reading. I've read some DIY discussions on this subject where the builder chose a length of small-diameter copper pipe, or a long welding rod, etc.
