  1. I really enjoyed this Discovery episode of Wheeler Dealers 2015. It's about a refurbishment of a 240z automatic into a proper drivers car. If you are interested in seeing a couple of guys swap out an automatic for a 5-speed and do a mild cam swap, this video is for you. Sit back and enjoy this full episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8G8s-LwCco
  2. I just talked to Chet, who Steve suggested I get to look at my 280Z. He thinks that most probably it is the rust and debris in the gas tank that is causing my problems. We have tentavely made plans for me to get my Z to him to do the work. All I have to do is find the $ to pay him with, and it will be done. Thank you Steve for connecting us!
  3. Chevy Chase? Na na na na na.....na na na na na. Be the ball. Ha! I'm using my brain 1st then google, got it right too. I'm a real life Carl, according to my neighbors. You see, I live in a garage apartment with carpeted stairs. I'm not too particular about the carpet and I have a dog so I use my backpack blower and start at the top and blow it down and out the back door. My neighbors thought I started inside my apartment.
  4. I think that used to be Huggy Bear's car. I never should have called your bluff! I think I can smell the weed from here!

Here is my fuel pump. It will give you an idea what it looks like inside. Its a pretty simple design. Make sure you note the order the parts coma apart so you can rebuild it in that order. The 2nd photo is a calulation for the o-rings I used on my pump. If you need new o-rings make sure you use Viton or NBR material. I prefer NBR because of the hazards associated with viton if exposed to very high temperatures like fire. You never know... Chas
  9. A little secret to installing rear side seals. Don't install them till the rear bearing cap is one inch from bottoming out. Then, install the side seals......push them all the way down till they bottom out, then torque the rear cap down.....it'll really pull the side seals all the way down so there is none sticking up to interfere with the oil pan installation.
