Im seriously thinking going back to SU's, because its crazy expensive to drive with triples. Some have suggested that with well tuned triples you could get to the same levels (on highway) but i doubt it...

My first long haul with my fresh L24 to Zcon 2010 I got over 30. SU's running very lean running max or 37 total advance. Amazing was that fuel gauge was dead nuts accurate using my CJ 5 gas tank - This was with a 480 lift cam and headers and electronic ign.

Just finished installing my real BRE rear spoiler. Seems like there are no good write ups on it, so I decided to document my journey. It has been a while sine I visited this site. The Z is still asleep in it's winter cocoon . I have been working on the restoration of my 1972 Land Cruiser and just completed my first year in my new position at work. Busy times. I will try and update this post in the near future. Hope to get the car ready for this years Z Con. JLP

Finally an update.. Could not depart until Sat at 11:15am due to friend was having problems. No wifi access until now. Ran to Boise ID yesterday, car ran great, no excellent! Stayed over & left this Am for Las Vegas... in Ely NV now... lunch. Car purring like a big happy cat. Getting about 26mpg, oil - 1/2 qt so far. New seals must be working. Will post some pix later, should be in LV by 7 tonight. maybe sooner because there is a 318 test road i can take with unlumited speed limit! We will see.... can't leave the car with the trailer too far behind!

I took the Z out to Caffeine & Octane today. On the drive home, I saw a young man in the passenger seat of an SUV trying real hard to get a good look as they passed. Naturally, I sped up to give him a better look. A guy in a BMW Z4 was giving me the thumbs up, and another guy at the gas station talked about owning a late 260Z. It was an ego-boosting kind of day.
