I ended up with that bunch of CL parts. The guy had a RHD Fairlady he had sold for 21K and for some reason the buyer didn't want the parts. This seller just wanted is all out of the garage. I ended up with a lot more than was in the pictures. Well worth the $ and drive up to Bellevue. The throttle piece had the cable but not the knob. I just saw a complete choke/throttle on Ebay sold for $350

Hello all, I recently rebuilt my 3 screw SU carbs on my 240z with the Z therapy kit. It was a good experience. At the same time I installed the MSA premium exhaust. I've noticed a very strong gas smell when driving the vehicle now. Is this normal with the SM needles? From my understanding they were overly rich during idle only? My 240 is basically stock, with the 2.5" exhaust and 280zx distributor coming soon. The smell is so strong I'm thinking of switching back to stock needles because it is so bad. I forget who I spoke to on the phone at Z therapy, but I asked if they were ok for a basically stock engine and they said yes. Secondly, when tuning them, one carb required 2.5 turns, and the other 3.5. Should I adjust the other float to make them exactly the same, or am I ok leaving it this way? Colten

I actually took measurements and have a sketch around here somewhere for that exact purpose. I've been in situations where I wanted to get a Z hatch open and didn't have keys (like on a parts car). I now know where to punch a small hole from the outside in order to hit the internal linkage to open the hatch. And the small hole would be easy to patch if necessary.

The datsun emblems were in a box when i got the car, they are on the euro cars. The device on the bumper is lights for the plate. The electric boxes runs an onboard computer (very hightech for the time) and temp in the diff, gearbox, engine and more. Havent had the time to go throgh the car yet. Will post more pics tomorrow.
