Genuine Webers or Chinese made?

Featured Replies

I just bought about 2 1/2 cars off someone from a failed project that has been sitting for 7-10 years. The purchase came with these webers. I think they are genuine spain made but i want to get more opinions that know more about this stuff. They have a red cage that covers the intakes but the foam was dry rot so i took it off.

I would be looking to sell these potentially as im probaby going down the road of fuel enjection anyways.

I found a carburetor company on eBay that have newer ones for sale made in China vs made in spain. They are about 1/2 the price.

The chinese look-a-likes could also be Ysist.

Look like Webers, but no name in the nameplate. Some of the webber parts will fit the Ysist units. Not saying the quality is at the same level.

Taking Zed Heads advice👍

Public Service Announcement - I have found that you can delete everything after "html" in those long web links, then reload the page, to get a clean short web address. Pretty sure that all of your personal info is included in all of that extra code. Probably shows your location also. 😵

I'm not saying your carbs are not Webers but there seems to be a lot of details missing from the casting covers. To the best of my knowlege, even the Webers from Spain have small details and state "MADE IN SPAIN".

I was able to find out that these are authentic weber carbs. These are genuine with stamped "Made in Italy" 40DCOE151. Redline got the copywrights or whatever to remanufacturer these and are stamped with made in spain. So i guess these are OG OG which is awesome. Im selling them so let me know if anyone is interested.
