got a few parts in, so I spent the morning cleaning and replacing the races in the hubs, Im still waiting on the seals though. Also worked on replacing tie rods and sway bar bushings and somehow I neglected to order ball joints. Needless to say, mine were pretty worn out. I wish I could have a blasting cabinet =(

Check out AMZ for Moog ball joints. Great quality at a decent price.

I saw those on rock auto, I ended up buying some others that were greasable

I also got the rear brakes completely done, and also completly replaced the clutch hydralics, All the clutch components from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder has been replace. hard line included. Bought a new clevis pin as well, so thats done.

rebuilt the turn signal switch as well. got the horn piece I needed from junkyard jenny, after cleaning everything and re-lubing it still feels a little sticky but much better than it was before.

Ball joints should arrive today, so that should complete the front. Still waiting on sway bar links and bushings for the rear. After that, it should be ready to drive!

On a side note, does anyone know where I can get the parking brake rubber hangers from? I noticed both of mine are toast.

Just plugging away on little stuff, getting ready to reinstall the fuel tank. Got all the fuel and vapor lines replaced and ran. Waiting on rotors to finish up brakes.

Have a bunch of questions/requests if someone can help me out with those.

When I got the car the fusebox and all that stuff in the passenger side kick panel was sitting on the floor. Can someone take a couple good pictures of how its suppose to be mounted and oriented? Dumb question but does anyone have a supply of those 10mm bolts that will prolly be needed? Would be nice to keep the originals.

Also could use a picture of the screws that go in the arm rest tray on the center console as well as the side screws. I have a good idea of the side screws but the tray screws im not sure about. Are they just counter sunk sheet metal screws?

What is the catalyst light for?

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas why my brake lights dont work. I replaced the foot pedal switch but I still got nothing. I have all parking lights and both turn signals front and back.

In relation. When I activate my hazards, I only get the passenger side lights. Even on the dash. I know both dash lights work. Never seen that before. Any ideas?

I also replaced my steering wheel for a nice NRG unit. I installed it and the horn worked, but I needed to buy a spacer. I installed the spacer and now I dont have a horn. really weird. I re-seated all the column wires, but nothing. I tested continuity on the horn and its fine. Is there something in the wiring I should look at?

Does anyone happen to have a spare glove box door? Also looking for the bottom trim on the steering column

Lastly, I was wonder what this 'pinkish' thing is on the vacuum line to the master cylinder. I think its a check valve. I only ask because I can pull the brass out of the plastic/ceramic?

That valve is directional as well. Arrow points toward the booster.

280Z's with catalytic converters have a Floor Temp lamp. It lights when the converter gets too hot. Does your 75 have a lamp that says Catalyst? Haven't heard of that.

The Hazard switch is known to have problems. You might search the site for past posts about it. Cleaning the internal contacts might be needed.

Yea, My car has a light thats labeled with Catalyst instead of the floor temp. Its on when as soon as I put the car to 'start'. I just started cleaning up the interior since I'm also working on putting the fuel tank back in, I havent started the car to see if it goes off after a while.

I did read about the hazard switch needing cleaning. I'll mess with that next time im out there. I'll probably pull out and inspect the blower and wiper motor relays as well since neither of those work either.

I finally got my rotors in so I just need to put those on and bleed the brakes and I should be able to put the car back on the ground.

That check valve seems unusual to me. What is that giant ring around it? Thats what I was asking about. Mine is turning to dust.

My original was brass and had a thick rubber bushing to fit the bracket. New from Nissan it’s a solid piece. All plastic
