WESCO Seatbelts, hardware kit needed?

Featured Replies

As others have suggested on this forum, I’m getting ready to Pull the trigger on the Wesco 3 point roadster kit to replace my worn out OE belts.

My question is, do I need to purchase their $9.95 hardware kit as well? I have all my OE hardware from my original belts. Is that enough? They show this little L-bracket in their hardware kit. Did anyone find that necessary to use? See pic…

I've installed the Wesco belts on a couple of cars and I don't believe I used anything from the that kit.

On the other hand, I did use some of the parts in the hardware kit. I can't remember which parts because it was many years ago.

I went through my receipts and found that I did order the hardware kit 9 days after I ordered the Roadster seat belts. I had to use the "L" bracket to fasten the seatbelt receiver part of the Roadster belt set to the floor next to the tunnel on my 204Z. Sorry that my answer is "oh contrare" to the other replies.

Do you have pictures of how this part is installed?

Here's a shot of the passenger seat with the "L" bracket installed on the receiver belt. As you can see I did use the plastic sleeve to keep the receiver from falling to the floor.

Hmm, well I guess I’ll find out soon when it arrives.

What year is your Z? I wanna say maybe the earlier Z’s had a different mount location because they didn’t have the rubber jacketed belt receivers. I think they were just floppy. But I might be wrong.

As my sig says 12/70 build date, you can check Carl Beck's site registry for my vin if you want it.
