The sound of the engine revving didn’t sound right to me. It sounded much higher than 6000 rpm. It was more like that of a 60’s Formula 1 car, screaming, and didn’t always seem synced to the video.

I noticed that too.  Plus they edited in footage from behind the car but didn't change the soundtrack.  The guy said that he took four trips down the mountain to get the footage.  Pretty sure I heard a gear grind in the video also.  I think that they just over-produced on the video.  It's in the "collector" zone, early car, very original, etc.  Collectors don't want to see people beating on their dream car.

That's one of my engine compartment ID plates!! Looks great doesn't it?

Another early one that didn’t make reserve. This one looked to be done exceptional well, body work, paint, engine, interior, all looked good.
The only minus was the crappy looking frame rails, they certainly didn’t help, should be removed asap.

Also interesting that the Mohr auction house, with a higher grade presentation with professional photography, etc., failed to at least meet the $65k the owner achieved with the first auction.

At 65k he should have let it go. Don’t think he’ll see that offer again for a long while.

^Hoovie's going to make a lot of money on his Bentley Arnage owned by Jean-Claude Van Damme whenever he decides to sell it...

My 240 was built in Nov. 70. According to the title and registration, it is a 71. The seller states that it has an Illinois title that says it's a 71. I guess he's just referring to the build year.

It is indeed a 71
