I believe i pulled something like that out of my ZX when deleting the air conditioning.  An evaporator perhaps?

thanks for confirming. its definitely related to the AC. I just didnt see anything like it in my Haynes manual. 

I think @S30Driver is correct. That looks like an AC driver to me, and it's definitely not stock.

As much as I like a pat on the head like a dog this is mr @S30Driver catch. Pat on the head. LOL

I gave one of those to someone on here a few months ago the "pay it foward" thing we do but I realize now he flipped that car. Has not been back on the forum since he got what he needed. I got played.

 

That's what I get for reading posts on my phone and using my old bifocals. It sucks to get old. The alternative is worse.

Anyway, that drier can be tossed. I suspect it really wasn't sealed tight, considering the duct tape, so it has seen more than a lifetime of moisture.

thanks. yep. i have the AC mostly out anyway. will consider putting back in once other projects done
