I would say the resistance reading is higher than I would expect. At least now you know you aren't just throwing parts at the problem.

This is about 45min to an hour after the car ran, it’s warm but getting colder.

Yep, I was pretty sure he would be replacing the sending unit with that much difference.

One step forward, three steps back.

Drove round the block to test it out. Came back and inspecting the engine I see droplets from under the car.

the carbs are leaking fuel. After about 10 minutes it stopped.

Seems to be around the area the intake mates with the chrome baffle for the air intake.

A few things can cause the problem. Fuel pressure too high (I like 3.5 psi), floats set too high or crud in the needle and seat valves.

Could you adjust PSI on a mechanical pump? I’ll check the needle and floats

Yep, it's not good when those are nasty. Don't forget about the last chance filters on the banjo fittings.

I’ve adjusted the floats to be lower. And cleaned the fuel bowl.
