I had a local shop press my rear hubs together and had to take them back because the bearings weren’t seated correctly.

 

The idiot working on it tried to grind down the end of the spacer to make it shorter, so now the end has a gouge out of it.

 

Do I need to worry about this?

 

If so, how can I find a new one? Does anyone have one to spare?

Am I wrong here for thinking the shop should be responsible for replacing this? They f'd it up, they need to replace it.

Is that the same as a "race" that comes with front bearings? Getting those down even was a pita on my garage floor.

I bought a great little press for that task. I would correct that spacer personally.

Funny, Nissan labels them A, B, and C in the FSM, but 0, 1, and 2 by part number.  Looks like you can still get at least one size though.

Woof... If it's not one thing, it's another! Is this the same shop that bent your control arm?

All else fails, I can probably make a new spacer.  I can certainly shorten one up if you find you can get the longer length but need something shorter.
