In a PM, S30Driver has called her " Deliverance Z" ! Not bad as a temporary name. Kind of adds to the mystique.

Throw a bow and some arrows in the hatch! Burt R. driving a Z. Might have to paint a screamin chicken on the hood like the Bandits TA. LOL

Unfortunately no, but I haven't given up on it yet.  On my original visit, I thought someone was home but wouldn't come to the door. Left a note but didn't get a response. After thinking about it , I didn't want to appear pushy. Thought it best to let some time go by and approach it again later.

I'm assembling the parts that you and Zup need. One more door to disassemble and I think I'll have them all.:)

Drove by the other day and it's still there.  Buried under old shed wood.  There were a bunch of vehicles n the drive, a white van and many 5 gallon paint cans.  Looks like a working guy who sees his dream sitting there every day when he gets home.  Can't blame him if he doesn't sell. If he had a garage and some internet access he'd probably be here.  Maybe we should leave him a note with "classiczcars.com" on it.

Haven't forgotten the Deliverance Z. New priority. Discovered a 70 Z. Stored 30 years. Haven't been inside or under the hood yet but can't find any serious rust anywhere on the outside, even the floor pans. The dash is uncracked. Might be a cap but I doubt it. Original US alum. slotted wheels. This one looks really good. Got into a conversation with the owner about Zs. The conversation was about escalating prices. When we finished that subject, he drops the bombshell on me. "I have two Zs. A 240 and a 280. Neither have run in years."  Me and my big mouth. I may have added thousands of dollars to the price. This one is going to be a long tough negotiation. He is a used car dealer.

I think you blew your chances of getting a deal there. If he is any kind of used car dealer, you're got buckleys. Mind you, if you do happen to swindle him into selling for a good price, I might need your help next part hunt Im on.

Yeah, I feel like i've already shown most of my cards. (Lesson learned) However, he is a "used car salesman" and their goal is to move cars and they LOVE cash. He already knew he had something special before I "appraised them". What I don't know (yet) is why he still has them. (240 & 280). He's interested in talking more about them. I think there is some middle ground to be found concerning the price. Could also be that he just wants more info about the current market. I'll know more in a few days.

You should sic him on the guy with the yellow shed car.  Offer him cash and a lead on another car.  Maybe he can work his verbal magic and break it free.

The yellow Z is still there.  Drove by a few hours ago.  Coincidentally, somebody else's black Z with a spoiler and fender mirrors had just been loaded on to a flat bed tow truck, about 30 yards down the hill.  Looked like it had broken down.  Anybody from here?
