MSA 71 console

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of buying a MSA centre console to finish off my resto but can't seem to find any pics of one so I can see the quality, does anyone here have one?

Mossy,

I have a repro console from MSA from about 10 years ago. Could you tell me what you intend to use it in? Are you doing a concours resto or a

nice driver restoration? This console looks very nice and is a legit repro in appearance. The issue I had was that the ashtray fuse box cover

didn't allow a perfect fit of the ashtray without a little adjustment. Not a real big deal, but I was looking for perfection which I found in a nice

used console.

If you would be interested, PM me and we could talk about a very reasonable price.

Hi Dan, I wouldn't say a concours resto but very much a quality resto so I want parts to fit right, I've done the same as you on a few parts on my build, bought aftermarket wasn't happy with the fit so I went with used genuine items.

Great Googly Moogly, I had no idea MSA sold those darn things!!! I have been waiting to refresh mine as it has a crack in the back and it has been annoying me forever!!!

Yes, I have one of their original concept pieces when they were looking at selling these. Mine required a bit of minor modification, which I sent as feedback to the guys so they could perfect the product. The console is made from fiberglass and the texture/color is pretty close to the original. Considering how beat-up my original console was, this made my interior look great. I'll try to grab a few photos for you when I can.

They've sold these for many years. I put one in my previous 240Z, (over 20 years ago), and it fit fine. Was made of fiberglass with black, dull finish gel coat finish.

Thanks for the feedback guys, Mike if you get a chance to take a pic that would be great.
