The carbs look great. Did the engine run like a dream or did you need to do some tuning on your end to get it running well?

The engine started quickly and ran reasonably well, getting a huge grin from my rebuilder. With slight adjustments to the timing and a few tweaks on the carb mixture, it really smoothed out. Z Therapy rocks for their carb work!!!

Diseazd, is the valve cover painted? It looks like it is. What method did you use to get the carbs to that finish? That's an achievable asthetic for me, I'm impressed.

Yes.....I screwed it down to a piece of plywood with a gasket using wood screws so nothing could get inside, taped ofF the vent pipe and bead blasted the valve cover. Then used acid etching primer, followed up with VHT silver paint. Mag wheel paint works great also. The carbs and intake are Z Therapy.

I started playing with AlumiBlast paint. Love the idea about mounting the cover on plywood. I've got 2 extra valve covers in the attic that may get blasted. :cool:
