XRQTR Posted April 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2007 As the title suggests this is about the L20ET, in particular I am after information on the best mod's for these engines. I am after any first hand information on what you have done to one if you have ever owned or worked on one, what kind of power can they make with a decent bottom end and turbo, also how much porting and good cams that you know to work well. I have just recently bought one, L20ET that is, and the plan is to put it into a Z, which I don't yet have but when I do it will have a new friend to play with as soon as I get it home. I have not as yet set a budget for the build, I know that's bad but I am wanting to see first what they are capable of before i decide how far to go. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help with this folks. Cheers Stef and no I don't want to go a late model turbo instead, yes I am a glutton for punishment LMFAO
carrott Posted April 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted April 5, 2007 Unless you must have a 2 L six ,well I suggest you dont waste your hard earned .If you must have an L series, turbo an L28 put the 2 L rocker cover on and no one will know except you , these motors are " CRAPP". Mr Camouflage Posted April 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 5, 2007 Yep.Best mod is to bold all the turbo gear onto an L28 (or even the L24 or 26 thats in the z you get - if you get one with an engine). Heaps of info on Turbo L6's over at www.hybridz.org
