As a side note, how many of you recognize what this S/N is from?

MFG Date 9/89 BNR32-0003066

Yeah, I recognise what it is from - but are you sure you have its build date right?

Mine was also a 1989 - but a couple of months later than September.............

I think you might be as much as a year out.

I bought the car in 2002 it was a Heisei Gannen (1) or 1989 Skyline GT-R. It was mfg late 1989. This was in Japan of course.

I am not 100% sure on the MFG month but I could swear it was Setp. Also it was first sold and registered in 1989 as it was listed on the title.

That was possibly one of the best cars I have owned, even though it has 180,000 KM on it and the motor was tired. I ended up selling it after I bought a 2000 R34 GT-t, hence the er34gtt2000jp nick. The R32 was just too old and kept breaking down on me.

Well, I used to have Vin #HLS30-03900, sold it to a neighbor and his 17 year old stuffed in a ditch 2 weeks later.......totaled the car, really bummed me out.

Now, I have Vin #HLS30-03242, a work in progress.

3242 was a San Diego car for most of its life, never been wrecked, although it was stolen a couple of times, then returned to the owner.

I got it about 5 years ago, did not have the original engine in it when I got it. It has an L28 with SU's now.
