A member at Zcar.com was a little miffed about receiving his purchase from Harmon Resto. This is what he ordered: https://harmonresto.com/products/usb-charger-cig-delete-kit-w-volt-meter. After a brief search on Amazon, it wasn't hard to find a source for the USB ports: https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Outlet-Voltmeter-Waterproof-Charger/dp/B098KD2G8F. Harmon doesn't even bother to leave the inline fuse on it, but they make up for it by marking up the price significantly. So if you really want these, reach out to me. Drop ship the Amazon one to me. (Suggestion: Get this one and you'll have 3 ports. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1WJ3W5X) I'll replace the ring lugs with …

William Stokes, aka @hls30.com, passed away yesterday. He had been battling some medical issues for a while. Now he gets to rest. Here he is on the left from a couple of years back when he went to lunch with a couple of my friends.

Just seeing this - spoiler though - they don't have plans to sell it. 🤪 I think they must have had plans, but maybe they do not any longer. https://www.thedrive.com/news/nissan-develops-major-240z-head-upgrade-decades-after-its-retirement

My son just purchased a 2005 Lotus Elise. It needs some cosmetic work but is mechanically sound. Its currently stored under my 260Z that is waiting on its differential to be installed. We drove to Chicago from Cleveland to pick it up and had an eventful road trip. On the way there, my son's 2019 Veloster Type N's steering wheel locked while driving at 80 mph on the turnpike. He was able to inch the car to the berm, cycle the ignition off and on and that cleared the lock. We just found out this morning that there is a TSB that covers a slew of Hyundai models that addresses this concern so its sitting at the dealer waiting on a part. Please ignore my junk filled …

Gents, I wanted to get on here and let you all know briefly why I’ve been gone and that I’m back. I’ll keep it brief and if you want to more details send me a message. About 8-9 months ago I had a medical incident that was a wake up call for me. It ended up with my in the ER with a doctor standing over me with cardiac paddles telling me they’re going to have to smock me. My job is 100% contingent on my health. Shortly after I notified the company I was placed on medical hold, and have been in this status until recently. This medical event was a watershed moment for me and I spent some time reflecting on my lifestyle and then came up with a game plan. I determ…

Courtesy Parts Online is alive and well... just moving to a different address. I stopped by this morning to check on our friends, had a nice visit with David House. With a decline in online orders over the past year, the old site managed by a 3rd party was no longer cost effective. It is business as usual at this Nissan-managed site: https://parts.courtesynissan.com/ And... Courtesy is no longer a part of Group 1 Auto, ownership has changed to Clay Cooley.

Em em em. The story goes that I got bit by the Z bug years ago, and made a really poor choice in buying a car online and having it shipped to me. After getting the car, I drove the car around for a few weeks... then parked it in the garage, where it sat waiting to be worked on... I then came up on another Z which I've partially documented in this thread (amongst other threads). The gold/brown? Z has been great, I've learned a lot about the various sub-systems on the car, and its at a point where I don't need to mess with it, I can get into it and drive around... I think (perhaps foolishly) that I'm ready to work on the one in the garage.... …

You know how those naughty little cookies track your internet activity and serve you up adverts you may be interested in? You know, the ones aligned with what you’ve purchased or searched for!? Well, this keeps coming up and I’m thinking: - Magnets for kids’ school projects, check. - Car protection and camping equipment, check. - Power tools, of course check. - Power boots, wait, what, hold on, what the heck!? Anyhow, I thought that may bring a smile to your lovely faces - is anyone else getting random ads?

Anybody out there know why spell check would stop working on the site? Seems to have happened right after a Windows update. It's checked as on in Settings but doesn't work on any forum type web sites. Still works in Outlook email though.
