OK, as some of you know I just today picked up another 240Z. Now i have been outa the loop here for the last few years now. But, dose anyone make a new aftermarket fuel tank? I know the headaches that go with these stock tanks and the crap that gets in the fuel from them. So rather then fight it I would rather replace it now. I have thought fuel cell. But I would much rather keep this one stock. Well, near stock anyway......

Hi Folks..... I've been thinking about an engine swap for my Z, for a while now... There's a 77 ZX non-turbo being parted out in the locale area. The owner is advertising it as having low miles. I'm still running the stock engine in the car, I swapped out the stock 4-speed for a 5-speed, but I do still have the original 4 speed stored in the garage somewhere, if I do the swap I'll be keeping the original engine in case I want to go back to the original engine and tranny sometime down the road. The seller is asking 300 bucks for the engine, do you guy's think this asking price is reasonable ?? Thanks -Phil

Can I install a plastic 280zx fan and clutch on my 71 240z without any clearance issues? Does the bolt circle match up? I bought a supposed Z fan (no clutch) off ebay recently and the bolt circle didnt match the circle on my clutch. I'm replacing because my car came with the correct but heavy metal fan and there seems to be a consensus that the plastic fan is better for the water pump's longevity. Also, it just seems that the metal fan with its small blades cant move as much air. Thanks

I've been looking into swapping out my R-180 Rear end for something stronger I would appreciate any suggestions... It seems like the R-200 Is the way most people would choose to go. I was wondering if there was a direct R-200 bolt in application? I Have a 1975 280Z with all the rear end parts. how much power (torque) can a R-200 handle in a non-drag application but something that will get off the line nicely. (running a 7-10 inch wide nitto street tires) Grip but not drag slicks. I'm hoping for all the componets to hold up atleast till the tires break loose. the last thing i want to happen is for all my hard work to go down the drain but i dont want to be shy wi…

So it looks like all the Z bodies will interchange, what about the 280ZX? I could use 2 fenders for my 240, and I know where a 280ZX is in a junkyard.

i have a complete 83-z i cant get it register in texas cause of the title. so i found a 78-280z chaise for 100bux with clean tx title. i know the engine/tranny/rear diff will fit. but will any thing else fit? like the sub frames/ or front cross-member etc. also how hard would it be to wire in the fuel injection system or should i just find some old carbs?
