I have 2 L24 engines and tranny's if you might need them, plus all of the pedals, linkage ect. will sell it to you real cheap if your up for a road trip!

Thanks alot guys because of you and all the knowledge you have shared with me, I ended up buying my 2nd '72 240z tonight! Can't wait, I have an engine waiting to go in it. All I have to do now is get rid of the two engines and trannys I will have laying around. My friend also has an opel gt. I don't mind them but i can tell you my 240 is way faster!!

I love the car man! im putting a cage in mine and big rims, etc. and a v8 if you have any pics of info of what you used please email them to me!! what size tires and rims are those? I can't wait to put my v8 in mine I just have to sell my L24 first before I can buy all the parts. Well i spent all night preping the z for sand blasting tom.. It is gutted and bare, looks kinda depresing! We'll see how the blasting goes then the new floors, supports, frame rails, fenders, and fuel cell will be put in! On and about 11:00 tonight when I shut the garage door and went to walk out the door, I looked back and in that corky little grill I could see a smile and I swear I heard it say "thanks for saving me from the junk yard!"

Do what i'm doing get her down to bare metal and POR-15 the entire car! you have to love that stuff!!! and don't use bondo ever!! use the aluminum filler that is good SH*T!! I have talked to several top notch hot rod biulders and they all told me to use that!

Long time no talk guys. Just wanted to say the Z is coming along well. I have new floors, rear fenders headlight bucket, the front frame rails and floor supports will be here soon. I totally gutted the car and she is getting sand blasted on tues and then the seams sealed and total interior, under carrage and behind panels are going to be POR-15ed! Can't wait! Before lon that 450hp sbc will be sitting in it and I will rule the world!! ha ha ha well at least my city.!! Oh one more thing guys i took out the a/c, heater, fans, speakers, radio, all that junk and the car is now down to below 2000 pounds. I was just messing around the other day and picked the whole backend up by myself! 2000lb car 450hp you do the math, sounds like it will be about the same as a Ferrari!

my 240z has webers, or atleast for a couple more weeks untill the 350 goes in. I'll take a pic if i go home anytime soon.

I would love nothing more than that, but It would cost a butt load more money to get a 400hp straight 6 than it would for my SBC 400. I do agree with you and the whole beating the camaro and firebird punks like me!!!

I can build one for much less than it would cost me to fix up my L24. Plus I need to get at least 400 HP out of it!! I love speed and that should just about do it!!!

I agree with all of you to a point, except the part about the mini cooper, sorry, I know I know they are fast and handle well, but some flame in side me wants to run one of the little buggers over! And i still have to go with the SBC and try to whip those guys, your right I shall never be happy with what i have! If I can't look forward to getting something better or making something better, I don't really have much to live for! I live for compation

Call your insurance company. 2 months after I got my brand new camaro. I had it parked at my girlfriends house and at about midnight one night a car full of drunk mexicans pulled up, and got out and threw a beer bottle right into the side of it. I chased them untill they went around the railroad arms infront of a train, I thought better to live with a scratch then to die! All in all my fender needed to be repaird and repainted and all of the car had to be reclear coated! $857 later it was done. Insurance paid for it all and all was good.

Just a story I have to get off my chest!! Today at my girlfriends family gathering, a guy ask me how my Z project was going and then made fun of me for having a datsun, along with about 10 other guys standing around! AHH!!! :mad: THis made me so mad. I love the way the car looks and performs. THose SOB's will go down. I have to have the fastest, best handling, coolest looking ride. Need suggestions on what to all use as far as engine, suspention, etc. I have already decided that a V-8 will get put in it. Help me so I can make them eat there words, and so I can eat there corvettes. Thanks for letting me vent guys I needed that!
