  1. Just click on User CP on the upper left of your screen near the top. Next click Edit Avitar option, and go to the bottom. You will want to use your custom avitar, upload it from your computer. There is a size requirement, it is fairly small. I adjusted mine in photoshop. That should be all! You can also change other stuff like your profile and signature. Good luck
  2. That sucks. In Arkansas do you guys have junior licenses? Here in Pa. we do, and if you get pulled over with one you can't get your "real" senior license for awhile. I figure I will always drive fast. Sometimes I tell myself I won't, but I usually cant help it. No trouble for me yet! Were you driving the Z?

  4. Hey Tomo, not a bad system, but sometimes there is nothing to do between 8am, 1pm and 6pm! By the way mike, I love the avitar.
  5. Thank you for the compliment, Jared. I really dig that color. On a 280 that nice, I would be proud of my big honking bumpers!
  6. Sorry Mike, I guess I can do this myself using internet options. Hope I wasted no ones time! I thought it could only be done to some sites. My bad.
  7. Hey Mike, is it possible that you give members the option to make this site their home page? This is just about the only site I use, so it would be cool if this came up as my home page, similar to the way the google site works. Just a suggestion if possible. Thanks.

  9. Welcome to the site, Jared. This site is loaded with information. Members have been very gracious to me, and plenty of my problems have been solved here. In addition, there are tons of pictures and what not to look at if you ever need inspiration, know how, or even a good laugh. Enjoy I decided to take a look at the "crap" on zcar.com because of your mentioning it. I read your post about leaving for good and all I can say is, who needs them! I think you will find that everyone here is mature, yet all good natured. Even though I have not been here for a very long time, I can honestly say that this web site helps me enjoy my z cars better!
  10. Thanks lance, it worked great. I think the rust was a very thin layer, maybe even from the old head gasket.
  11. The block has been sitting all winter and there is some rust on the deck and in the bores. It is only surface rust. The How to Rebuild Your Nissan Datsun OHC Engine by Tom Monroe says nothing about removing rust. What is the best way to take care of this? Here are some pictures

  13. What about an MSA header with the stock resonator and turbo tips? No muffler, and it is loud. This is whats on my orange car. I want to get the same sound for the black one.

  15. He gets really pissed if you leave negitive feedback! Just read what he says! Comes off as a jerk to me. 16. Yeah, the roll cage is way too far forward. Maybe this guy is real short!
  17. Hey, thanks for the repilies. Today I looked at my wheel again, and scratched the surface. Guess what, the paint will no longer scratch off! Why? I have no clue, but I am very glad. Maybe it is because in desperation last night I tried to harden the stuff with a hair drier. Last night after heating it still scratched off, but today it is fine. Well thats life! Thanks again
  18. How expensive is powder coating? Is it worth it for the steering wheel?
  19. I am currently in the process of panting my steering wheel, and I am angered by the paint. I have read the threads on this site and I am also following the article in SZM (fall 2001). I have primered and painted the wheel using the same paints in the article. Everything looks good, but the paint can be easily scratched off by a finger nail. It is not tacky in any way, but it just comes off too easily. I painted my fuel rail using the same paint maybe two months ago, and it is as solid as a rock. What gives? It says on the paint can that for the hardest surface, it can be heated to 300 Degrees Fahrenheit. Is it ok to put the steering wheel in the oven? The rim being plastic and wood composite? (I did my homework) Thanks

  23. There is none of the z's character left. I personally think that the bumpers are necessary because the back sort of slopes away, and there is a gaping hole in the front. And yeah, the shock towers should really be there. The way everything is shaved, it seems almost un-car like in a way. An older car would have some nice chrome bumpers, and a newer car would have five MPH bumpers integrated in some way. This car has no bumpers at all! But the real fact is, the car still looks pretty badass because after all it is a 240Z. All the lines are there, it's just missing is an L24!
  24. The week I got my license, I took the family maxima out and easly made 100 on a nice strip of road. I could have gone more, but my better judgement slapped me in the face first! For me, on skinny two lane roads 60 feels quick, but on the highway, 85 feels like a slug. I have never driven the 240 really fast, plus it has been sleeping in the garage since I got my license in january. The maxima has been my only car to drive enthusiastically, but it cornners well and is relatively fast. I just hate it because it shifts like slop, not at all as crisp as the Z
