  1. aaah! watch out for those linkage bears. they'll bite your fingers off!! haha, anyway, Tom's on the right track. I've also heard of bending part of the linkage to get the geometry straight, but I have no idea how to describe it to you.
  2. that's so sad to hear.... thoughts to the family
  3. that's the difficulty with modifying cars; if not done in moderation it will be very difficult to sell, simply because it's so personalized. i do like the front bumper, but i wouldn't put it on my Z since that's not the direction i'm going.
  4. no problem, and good luck!
  5. it will work. if you replace, just make sure you replace the clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing/clutch collar as a set. EDIT - forgot to add: make sure the friction surfaces of your two flywheels match. for example, if your L24 has a 225mm flywheel and your L28 has a 240mm flywheel you will not be compatible
  6. ya, sounds like either a corroded/loose cable or a dead/dying battery to me... double check all of the cables; heck, disconnect all of them and give them a good scrub with some sandpaper. make sure your ground is solid and touching bare metal. it sounds like the starter isn't getting enough juice
  7. IIRC it's a british pipe thread. not 100% sure though. your best bet is to find one slightly larger and tap it.
  8. sorry, wasn't trying to mess with you. just wasn't sure how your car was running well with an aftermarket cam in an EFI car.
  9. snake oil. belongs on this site: kalecoauto.com
  10. what EMS are you doing? you tuned the ECU after putting the cam in, right?
  11. welcome! do i know you from another forum? aside from the 1337 connotations, your SN looks familiar...
  12. hrm.... i think they forgot to add that Goatse designed the space shuttle. Although the first mention of Mr. G is vague enough to be correct, it's obvious that the author of this article simply skimmed through someone else's book.
  13. you really should replace the rockers with that much wear.. looks like you weren't getting enough oil and/or were running too hot. is your cam internally oiling? if not, were you running a spray bar?
  14. glad to hear you're okay! even if the car did get damaged, car parts can be replaced....
  15. or just take the cover. $40 isn't that much; you could easily sell it and make back your $
  16. agreed both these guys are right; fuel injection is a lot more involved than simply swapping manifolds. you are going to have to factor in replacing the entire fuel system, even back to the tank (unless you build a surge tank). not only that, whether you go wth the stock electronics or an aftermarket EMS you are going to be running a lot of wires and hooking up sensors. if you are thinking about doing an EFI swap you should check out hybridz.org and go to the aftermarket EMS forum.
  17. tough call. the zxt will be quicker, but you can't beat the S30 styling keep skankin
  18. besides craigslist and ebay, check the classifieds sections on ratsun.net and the510realm.com
  19. 4" front 3" back
  20. http://www.zcarcreations.com/downloads/lengine.zip
  21. i'm running a vintage BRE/interpart setup (15/16" front, 3/4" rear)
  22. IMHO, ZT carbies are the way to go. you said you aren't planning on racing, so triples would be a little overkill (not to mention a bit more fuel) only other option I could see would be triple 40s; but again, i think that might be overkill for your purposes
  23. that's interesting! i flew up to san jose to pick up my current '72 and drove it back... good luck on the trip!
  24. nice looking motor? is this on the standard L26 block? with that assumption, i would place the HP to be around 200 or so at the crank. that's a rough guestimate, though. the only real way to know is by shoving it on a dyno (rawr!)
